PURPOSE:
Seeking to create an intensely fun, intensely spiritual camp environment that will make an eternal, godly impact on the lives of young people by:
- Evangelizing the lost
- Encouraging spiritual growth
- Edifying believers
GOALS:
- To present every person with a clear opportunity to respond to the gospel by
1) accepting Christ as Savior
2) acknowledging their testimony
- To build a positive, Christ-centered relationship with each camper that will provide a context for discipleship.
- To exemplify and encourage a higher level of spiritual growth as a result of participation in the camp program.
- To build up the body of Christ by encouraging church involvement after camp. Each member of the team serves to either facilitate or ensure spiritual impact. Our purpose and goals will only be accomplished if we strive together for the same objective while remaining focused on our distinctive roles. Our total camp program philosophy flows from our purpose. While not every task is a direct one-on-one or group ministry effort, each job and activity is important as a tool in impacting the lives of young people for eternity. Counselors have a great deal of personal impact with campers, while other jobs are more “behind the scenes,” but every one is important as we work together to present the total camp program.
