Choir tours are the best! So silly.

We had the pleasure of hosting these fine young folks from Church of the Saviour UMC for a concert last night. It was wonderful! Best wishes for a great week out on the road.

In June 2026, the youth choir and ringers from Church of the Saviour United Methodist in Cincinnati, Ohio offer an energetic message of hope and endurance through music and testimony.

Mission Tour 2026 takes this group to the East Coast through Ohio, New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania. The junior and senior high students who volunteer their time to participate in these choirs are committed to sharing their faith through work at mission sites and celebrating worship through music. Based on Matthew 7:11-12, this year’s program is entitled Give Them Grace and encourages listeners to live a life that is grace-filled.

We are the first stop on the Choir Tour for 2026. Come and enjoy the concert at 7:00pm in the Sanctuary on Sunday night!

One of our youngest members, Ellis Cierpial (4), demonstrated love for his neighbors by holding an art sale and sharing the proceeds with the Worthington Resource Pantry! Ellis spent time making a variety of art pieces and held the sale during the Worthington Memorial Day Parade. While planning for the sale, he wanted to be sure that money he raised would go to his neighbors in need and opted to donate half of his earnings. After a very successful sale, Ellis decided to save less for himself and donated 75% of the money he raised to the Worthington Resource Pantry. Thank you, Ellis, for showing God's love to our community!

The Julia Ministry is a care-focused group centered on creating and sharing handmade prayer shawls and mini prayer squares. Our members gather once a month to knit or crochet items that are given to people in times of need—such as illness, grief, medical procedures, or life transitions.

The shawls are more than just handmade items; they’re meant to be tangible symbols of God’s love, comfort, and protection. Each one carries the intention of prayer and compassion for the person receiving it.

Worthington United Methodist Church dates back to the early 1800's. The Methodist Episcopal Church, as it was known then, was the first structure in Worthington used exclusively as a church.

We have one of the original pews from the first church. It's located outside of Potter Chapel under the Tree of Life Memorial Window.

You can learn more about our history and see images of all four church buildings of Worthington United Methodist church on our website: https://worthingtonumc.com/history-of-worthington-umc/
