On the 27 & 28 of August, we celebrate the feasts of 𝗦𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮 and her son 𝗦𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗲. Born in North Africa in the 4th century, St. Monica's faith and dedication to motherhood played a pivotal role in the spiritual formation of one of the most brilliant philosophers and well-known saints of all time – Saint Augustine. Augustine led a hedonistic lifestyle and after many years of St. Monica's prayers, Augustine declared that his mother’s resilience and dedication to prayer is what led him to become the man of God he was meant to be. He was baptized, became a priest, a bishop, a famous Catholic writer, founder of religious priests, and one of the greatest saints that ever lived.

HAPPY FEAST OF THE QUEENSHIP OF MARY! 💙
We celebrate the Queenship of Mary because her Divine Son is King. Pope Pius XII, having declared the dogma of the Assumption, that “the Immaculate Mother of God . . . was assumed body and soul into heavenly glory,” then established the feast of her Queenship. He set the date for the octave (8th day) after the Solemnity of the Assumption, that is, August 22nd each year.

On August 15th we celebrate the 𝐅𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. On this feast we recall the spiritual and physical departure of the Mother of Jesus Christ from the earth, when both her soul and her body were taken into the presence of God. Mary’s feast reminds us that we are created for the glory of God and to be with God for all eternity!

Have you received your First Holy Communion?
Are you strong enough to carry a candle or cross?

Our Altar Server Ministry is looking for young people to perfrom an important and much needed role at Mass. Altar Servers must be Baptized, have received their First Holy Communion, and be in the third grade or higher. Training will be provided. Join us in this rewarding journey of faith and service, and help others grow closer to God!

We celebrate the 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐟𝐢𝐠𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬 on August 6. It is one of the key events in Jesus’ life. He took three apostles – Peter, James, and John – up to a high mountain to pray. As they were praying, His appearance changed, and His clothes became “dazzling white.” At that point, Moses and Elijah appeared and spoke to the Lord about His upcoming death. A cloud overshadowed the group, and God the Father’s voice came from the cloud saying, “𝑻𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒊𝒔 𝒎𝒚 𝒃𝒆𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒅 𝑺𝒐𝒏; 𝑳𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒏 𝒕𝒐 𝒉𝒊𝒎!”

Registration is ongoing for the 2026-2027 Religious Education year. All children are welcome to attend and will not be denied participation due to financial hardship. 𝑰𝒇 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒏𝒆𝒘 𝒕𝒐 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒉, and have a child entering K-11th grades, and would like to know more about our Religious Education Program 𝒑𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒆 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒄𝒕 𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒚 𝑺𝒚𝒄𝒌𝒔 𝒂𝒕 508-868-8119.

FEAST OF ST IGNATIUS OF LOYOLA - JULY 31
A Basque gentleman soldier, he was wounded in battle and, during his convalescence, was inspired by the lives of the saints to serve God. When well, he wandered, prayed, ministered to the poor and sick, and had mystical experiences that form the basis of this book of Spiritual Exercises. Returning to school, he earned a master's degree from the University of Paris. There he gathered other students for service to Jesus. After ordination the group went to Rome, where they became the Society of Jesus, or Jesuits.
