Those are for us! - as we celebrate the BMitzvah Anniversary of our congregation. We’re so excited to welcome Heather back to Worcester, MA, and to be guided by her in a community art project creating seven beautiful new Torah scroll covers. Check back after Shabbat for “in progress” pictures.

Next step for a community Torah project? Sketching the designs and making templates for each piece of fabric! Seven Torah covers with 28-82 pieces in each means more than 350 templates!

Join us Saturday, May 17, at 6:15pm for light refreshments, followed by a beautiful performance by Kantika at 7:00pm!

Kantika, which means “song” in the old language of Ladino (Judeo-Spanish), is a musical project that contains hypnotizing melodies, captivating soundscapes, and powerful lyrics.

Kantika brings together traditional Sephardic songs with newly composed music and lyrics in English and Hebrew, creating a seamless blend between the languages to complement one another both in the music and in the text.
