Our congregation is now being served by a team of three pastors and a lay servant rather than by a single minister. Each of them will take a turn leading worship, and other pastoral duties will be divided among the clergy. Rev. Nizzi Digan will primarily be working on visitation and other pastoral care activities. Pastor Joseph Wilson is the first point of contact for communion and other sacraments. Rev. Barry Judd will handle the administrative side such as attending meetings, making sure reports are filed on time, etc.

Join us in Worship and Fellowship this Sunday, June 28 as we bid farewell to Pastor Steve.

This Sunday, June 21st, we are celebrating the 100th Anniversary of our building on the corner of Lancaster and Salisbury Streets.

This week we celebrate the 100th anniversary of the building that is now known as Epworth United Methodist Church (the name Epworth has been with us since the beginning, but the name of the denomination has changed a few times over the past century). District Superintendent Megan Stowe will lead us in worship, and we will have refreshments, a time to share, and a number of displays in fellowship hall following the service. While it is natural on this occasion to look back and remember the past, it is also a most appropriate time to look to the future (it is, after all, a birthday party, not a memorial service!). God is calling us to be faithful, active Christians in 2026, just as our predecessors were called in 1926.

As we look forward, let’s think about what that means for us. How do we reflect the love of God in our own lives, both as individuals and as a congregation? What does it mean to be good stewards? What mission/service projects, fellowship opportunities, study groups, can we build or support? Who can we share our faith with? None of us will have all the answers, but together we can honor those who came before by continuing to answer God’s call.
