Our Family Discipleship Class is back! We’ll be resuming on Tuesday, October 27, at 6:00 PM, and we’d love to have you join us!

Have some questions about the class? We’ve got answers!

Q: Do I have to have kids in your ministry to attend this class?

Not at all! This class is beneficial for all parents, no matter where you are in your parenting journey.

Q: Is childcare provided?

Yes! Ms. Angie has decided to return as our Childcare Coordinator, and we’re so excited to have her back!

Q: What will be covered in the class?

We’ll be continuing our book study of Parenting by Paul David Tripp. The topics we have left to cover are Law, Inability, Identity, Lost, Foolishness, Character, False Gods, and Rest.

Q: Do I need the book to participate in the class?

Having the book would help you benefit the most from the class. We have a few copies you can borrow as well on a first-come, first-serve basis. Both the ebook and audio versions are available on Hoopla with a Wayne Co Public Library card. You can also order the book through Amazon.

Q: Do I need to have attended the class in the spring to know what’s going on this season?

Absolutely not! This isn’t a cumulative class, so you can jump in at any time. We’d love to see you join us as much or as little as your schedule allows!

Q: Will there be a panel discussion again this session?

Yes! Larry & Terry and Bud & Lynne are returning as our “Seasoned Parents.” We’re excited to hear their wisdom and experience again!

Q: Will there be time for refreshments and fellowship afterward?

Absolutely! After our one-hour class, we’ll have snacks and water available in the Commons. Stick around, chat with other parents, and swap a few parenting horror stories!

Q: Can I invite parent-friends who don’t attend Parkview?

Great question. Short answer: YES! Long answer: YES!

We’d love to come alongside any parent who could use some encouragement, support, and community in their parenting journey. And yes, we’d love to provide childcare for their kids, too!

We will look at how we are Ambassadors of God for our children and different aspects of parenting that can be difficult at times. Then stay after discussion...

The spontaneous downpours didn't stop us from having fun today!

Our Golf Scramble Fundraiser had a great turnout and was loads of fun! 52 golfers showed up and showed out! 🏌️

MEMORY VERSE CHALLENGE! 📖

Our Spark Kids are working on memorizing Matthew 22:37 this month.

Why memorize Scripture?
Because God's Word isn't just something we learn at church. It's something we carry with us.

Parents: Try memorizing it together as a family this week.
Say it in the car.
Repeat it at dinner.
Practice it before bed.

Then see who can say it without looking! 👀

Who's up for the challenge?

We've all asked the classic Sunday question:
“How was church?”

And we've all gotten the classic answer:
“Good.” 😂

Try changing the question this week.

Ask your child what they learned about God—and then take the conversation one step further.

You don't have to have a perfect theological conversation. Just be curious, listen, and help your child connect what they learned at church to everyday life.

That's family discipleship.

We're getting ready for another Sunday in Spark City! 🎉

This week, our kids will be learning about the first of the 10 Commandments and discovering more about who God is and what it means to follow Him.

And parents, here's your challenge:
Don't just ask, “Did you have fun?”

Try asking:
👉 “What did you learn about God today?”

One simple question can turn the ride home into a discipleship opportunity.

Family discipleship doesn't have to be complicated. Sometimes the simplest conversations can open the door to meaningful moments with Jesus.

Tonight, take five minutes at dinner, in the car, or before bed and ask your child:

“What is one thing God's given you that you're thankful for?”

Then take a moment to thank God for it together. ❤️

Small moments. Big impact.

💛 Parents, this one’s for you.

Some days you feel like you’re absolutely crushing it. Other days, you’re just trying to make it to bedtime. 😂

But in the middle of the busy, messy, ordinary moments of parenting, remember this: faithfulness matters more than perfection.

Keep loving. Keep praying. Keep showing up. Keep pointing your kids toward Jesus.

You may not always see the impact you’re making right now, but what you’re doing matters. 🙌

You’re doing better than you think. Keep going!
