We're getting ready for another Sunday in Spark City! 🎉

This week, our kids will be learning about the first of the 10 Commandments and discovering more about who God is and what it means to follow Him.

And parents, here's your challenge:
Don't just ask, “Did you have fun?”

Try asking:
👉 “What did you learn about God today?”

One simple question can turn the ride home into a discipleship opportunity.

Family discipleship doesn't have to be complicated. Sometimes the simplest conversations can open the door to meaningful moments with Jesus.

Tonight, take five minutes at dinner, in the car, or before bed and ask your child:

“What is one thing God's given you that you're thankful for?”

Then take a moment to thank God for it together. ❤️

Small moments. Big impact.

💛 Parents, this one’s for you.

Some days you feel like you’re absolutely crushing it. Other days, you’re just trying to make it to bedtime. 😂

But in the middle of the busy, messy, ordinary moments of parenting, remember this: faithfulness matters more than perfection.

Keep loving. Keep praying. Keep showing up. Keep pointing your kids toward Jesus.

You may not always see the impact you’re making right now, but what you’re doing matters. 🙌

You’re doing better than you think. Keep going!

⛳ A golf scramble that helps kids have a whole lot of fun.

At Spark Kids, we get to do some pretty awesome things throughout the year—special events, family activities, camp experiences, and opportunities for our kids to grow, laugh, learn, and make memories together.

And honestly? A lot of those things are possible because people like you choose to support our ministry. ❤️

That’s why we’re hosting our Spark Kids Ministry Golf Scramble! Your participation helps us continue creating meaningful and fun experiences for the kids in our church.

You can still be part of the day through a hole sponsorship and help support Spark Kids without ever picking up a golf club.

This week has come so quickly! 💙

We are asking for prayers for all of our kids who will be entering school this fall (some of whom even started today)!

For some, this is their first day of preschool or kindergarten. For others, they're heading into a new grade, a new school, or even a new chapter of life. No matter where they are, we know that this season can bring excitement, nerves, new friendships, and plenty of unknowns.

Would you join us in praying that our kids would:
🙏 Know that God is with them wherever they go — Joshua 1:9
🤝 Make good friends and be a good friend to others — Proverbs 13:20
❤️ Be kind, courageous, and compassionate — Ephesians 4:32
📚 Learn and grow in the things God has given them — Proverbs 1:5
✨ Be a light for Jesus in their classrooms and schools — Matthew 5:16
🛡️ Have teachers and adults who care for and encourage them — 1 Thessalonians 5:11
🏠 Remember that they are loved, supported, and prayed for at home and at church — 1 Thessalonians 5:17

Parents, as you send your kids off to school this week, know that you don't have to walk through this season alone. Your Spark Kids family is praying alongside you!

Our kindergarteners are about to face a new challenge with school starting up. Longer time away from their parents, new friendships, new routines, and so many new experiences are just around the corner! 💛

So we wanted to make the most of one of our last summer days together! We spent the day exploring Secrest Arboretum, checking out the Bug Zoo in the Science Building, and finished things off with lunch at McDonald’s. 🐛🌳🍔

We’re so thankful for the time we’ve had with these kids and are excited to watch them take this next big step! Kindergarten, here they come! 🎒📚

📅 1. Our Fall Calendar
Our Fall Calendar is ready to go and will be available for pickup at each KidMin location this Sunday! Be sure to grab one and start adding all the different events, activities, and opportunities to your family calendar. We don’t want you to miss out on all that’s happening this fall!

🌙 2. Bedtime Blessings
We also have a Bedtime Blessings sheet for your family! The goal is simple: take a few moments before bed to speak biblical truths and blessings over your children or encourage your kids to read them over themselves.

Consider putting the sheet somewhere you’ll see it every night: beside their bed, on their bedroom door, on the bathroom mirror, or anywhere else that will serve as a reminder.

Bedtime can be more than just the end of a busy day. It can be an opportunity to slow down, speak truth, remind our kids who they are in Christ, and point their hearts toward God. ❤️

These resources aren’t meant to add another thing to your family’s to-do list. They’re simply tools to help you make the most of everyday moments and continue building a home where faith is part of your family’s rhythm.
