Sadly, the Moreland Community Hotdog Roast has been discontinued. It has been sponsored by the Moreland United Methodist Church as a way to get the whole community engaged and to get to know your neighbors. But we are aging and unable to fill the committee anymore. Thank you for your participation in the past.

Reflection for Sunday Jan 25, 2026

❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️

Dear All,

We will not be having Worship in person tomorrow. Due to the predicted weather, the cold, the expected snow to continue through church service that would not allow for clear roads, sidewalks or parking lot, and the Governor’s deceleration of State of Emergency.
We will be posting one or two things to Facebook that you may view for worship by tomorrow morning.

Blessings,
Leadership of Moreland UMC
Pastor James and Pastor Aimee

Moreland UMC has modified our weather closure policy.
Any time the Wayne County, Ohio Sheriff declares a Level 2 snow emergency before any church function, it will be cancelled.
If the Wayne County, Ohio Sheriff declares a level 2 snow emergency at 7pm or after on Saturday, the Sunday morning Sunday School and Worship Service will be cancelled.
Cancellations will be reported to the Board chair and a text will be sent to all congregants who get text and a post will be put on the FB page.

Although Christmas is often a time of joy, laughter, and celebrations, we are very aware that for some of us, this season can be one of loneliness, sadness, and grief. If you find yourself struggling, for whatever reason, to find the peace of this season, then we pray this Blue Christmas Service will help. We pray it reminds you that you are not alone, that you are seen, and that you are loved.

The Wayne County Sheriff has issued a level two snow alert. If it continues overnight we will cancel the Sunday morning Worship Service. Our daughter just went to work and said the roads were terrible. Be careful tonight. We will post an update in the morning.

Christmas Caroling
Share the Joy of Christmas with our shut-ins. We will be leaving the church at 1 pm on December 6th. You say you can't sing, neither can I. Lets make a joyful noise together.
