Three cheers for our volunteers! We are so grateful to Friends and friends who have helped with recent improvements to our historic meetinghouse. We thank Dave Zielinski, Glenn Dusablon, Rich Keene, and Jeff Keene for their help to paint the basement stairs and gathering room this week! And we also thank Ron Belliveau for installing new heating pipe insulation at the meetinghouse and his son Jared for replacing a split water pipe insulation the basement bathroom. Thank you for generously donating your time and talents to Smithfield Friends!

The meetinghouse was truly alive today! We thank Rev. Natalia, Ron Belliveau, and Aaron Frechette for a fabulous service, and National Park Service Ranger Allison Horrocks for an awesome presentation about Union Village patriots during the American Revolution! We also wish Natalia a very happy birthday!

Hello Friends,
We are looking forward to seeing everyone this Sunday, April 19 at 10:30 am for semi-programmed worship celebrating America's 250th Anniversary. The attached flyer has all the details. Reverend Natalia, Ron, and Aaron will have a very special musical program.
After Meeting there will be a special historical lecture at 1 pm.

POSTPONED: Sunday's service has been postponed due to the impending snowstorm. Please stay safe, Friends.

Please join us this Sunday to help heal our community through Faith and Friendship. The Smithfield Monthly Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends in Union Village will host a worship service by Reverend Natalia de Rezendes, at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at the Meetinghouse, 108 Smithfield Road, Woonsocket, RI.

This service will include music and readings that offer a peaceful and memorable means to experience God’s inner light.

Participants can find extra parking across the street inside the Union Cemetery. Join us as we celebrate 320 years of community worship, peace, and brotherly love. All are welcome!

Many thanks to The Valley Breeze for sharing our community invitation to this Sunday's meditative Meeting for Worship. This service will focus on community, warmth, support, and courage through music and readings that offer a means to find God’s light.
