We are in HOLY WEEK - the most sacred season in the life of the church. You are invited to:
Thursday at 7:00 pm - Maundy Thursday - remembering the Last Supper with communion and the Office of Tenebrae. This ancient ritual of scripture reading and candles is a solemn, meditative service ending in darkness.

Friday 12 to 3 - Good Friday Vigil - the sanctuary is open for silent reflection on the crucifixion and death of Jesus.

SUNDAY at 10:00 - EASTER MORNING - Come and celebrate the resurrection, the promise of new life, the hope in the world with our Easter service! And after the service, there is a delicious celebratory Easter Brunch!

HOLY WEEK BEGINS! Join us to celebrate Palm Sunday on Sunday, March 29 at 10:00.

We are collecting Toilet Paper for the Bath Area Food Bank for February and March! Please consider purchasing and donating toilet paper! And you are invited to join us for worship at 10:00 on Sunday as we explore some of stories of Holy Week.
Some of the greatest stories of our faith are told in that one week. Some of the most human stories of our faith are from that week. The story of Jesus’s last few days and then his trial, crucifixion, death and resurrection are called “The Passion” Narrative.
It seems to me that we love to tell the stories of Christmas, but not so much the stories of the Passion. And yet, these are the core stories of our Christian faith and of our humanity – stories of betrayal and human cruelty, of failure and of falling below expectations, of fear and denial and hiding and doubt.
For the rest of Lent, we will be studying some of these stories in Bible Study and hearing some of these stories in worship. I hope that you will join us on the journey.

We are now in the sacred season of Lent, a time of spiritual preparation before Easter.
The Six weeks of Lent are a gift – not to be experienced as sacrifice and punishment - but rather as a time for spiritual renewal, for deepening faith, for anticipating and preparing for the gift of resurrection and transformation in our lives. Your Lenten practice may take many forms – a daily devotional, time in prayer or meditation; fasting from hurtful or angry words or fasting from social media or new purchases; intentional acts of love through phone calls, making connections, writing letters, volunteering or making donations.
What feeds your soul and nurtures your hope?
What deepens your faith and expands your love?
Let us enter this Lenten journey together with hearts of anticipation and a willingness to try something new. Maybe we will be surprised by the transformation!
Our Lenten Worship Series will focus on characters in the Passion story: the sleeping disciples, Peter, Barabbas and Pilate.
In church on Sunday, we will hear the story of temptation, of Jesus in the wilderness and his encounter with evil, the tester, the tempter, the devil (Matthew 4:1-11). We can all relate to this story of temptation and testing and wonder together about what it says to us today.
Hope to see you in church!
