Central Presbyterian Church Waco/Woodway Texas

Central Presbyterian Church Waco/Woodway Texas This is a place “where Christ is central"...where Love is central to all we do! Weekly programs include Sunday school, Worship, Choir and Wednesday Night Live.

Central Presbyterian Church has a wide range of ministries aimed at life stages:

Children:
Our goal is to help children grow in their awareness of god's presence in their lives. Special activities throughout the year - like Vacation Bible School, holiday events, Mo Ranch and other children's events -- provide fellowship and fun as well as an opportunity for children to bring their friends. Men:

The men of CPC desire to be strengthened in their walk with God and with each other. Women:
Forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves to nurture our faith through prayer and Bible study, to support the mission of the church worldwide, to work for justice and peace, and to build an inclusive, caring community of women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and witnesses to the promise of God's kingdom. Youth:
You'll find an energetic group and caring adults who will encourage and challenge you to walk in His steps. The year is filled with exciting events to keep you growing. Jump in! Music:
The Music Ministries at Central Presbyterian Church offer opportunities for the entire family to participate. Worship Service: Our 10:45 worship service on Sunday mornings uses a blended style of music. Selections vary from the classics to newly composed music. Adult Music: The Sanctuary Choir meets on Wednesday evenings throughout the year under the direction of David Fleuriet. Our organist is Phil Oliver. The choir sings an anthem at the 10:45 worship service each week along with other special occasion music. Sunday School:
Christian education is central to our core mission. Classes for all ages meet at 9:30am through 10:30am. Throughout the year there are also "church-wide" events.

Today we join those who grieve in giving thanks to God for pilgrims like Dolly who travel through this world and leave a little more light, courage, and kindness in their wake.
Presbyterians do not reserve sainthood only for a special, extraordinary few. We believe the saints of God are all of God's beloved--the dead, the living, and even those yet to be born. Still, now and then, a particular saints helps us see more clearly what grace can look like in a human life.
Dolly traveled among us with mountain wisdom and rhinestones, humor and grit, generous hands, deep faith, and a heart that helped make room for others. She put books in the hands of children. She refused to let others make her small. And, she sang of a God whose love is large enough for every traveler still becoming, still searching, still making the journey home to who God made them to be.
In "Travelin' Thru," Dolly offered up a pilgrims hymn--honest about uncertainty, tender toward those trudging difficult roads, and trusting that no one ever travels outside the reach of grace.
Thanks be to God for Dolly--the songs, laughter, courage, and generosity--and the lives made brighter because this beloved saints came traveling through!
