The annual summer meeting of the Natural Bridge Historical Society, Inc. (NBHS) Board of Directors (BOD) will be held on Saturday August 16, 2025 at the Rakestraw House, Natural Bridge Battlefield Historic State Park, starting at 10:00 AM. The meeting is open to the public, our sponsors, partners, and other interested parties. If you have any items that need to be discussed at the meeting, please comment or message this site.

Gracious and Merciful God,
We come before You today with heavy hearts, lifting up the people of Texas who are suffering from the devastating floods. Lord, You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in times of trouble. Be near to those who have lost homes, livelihoods, and loved ones. Bring comfort to the grieving, courage to the fearful, and strength to the weary.

We pray for first responders, volunteers, and all who are working tirelessly to rescue, rebuild, and restore. Protect them as they serve with compassion and courage. Grant wisdom to community leaders and government officials as they make decisions for the safety and care of all affected.

May Your church rise as a beacon of hope in this time—offering shelter, food, support, and most of all, Your unfailing love. Let us not turn away from our neighbors in distress, but instead be the hands and feet of Christ in their hour of need.

Lord, as the waters rise, we trust in You to lift hearts and rebuild lives. We ask for mercy, provision, and peace.
