We are only 2 weeks away from the Promiseland Water Party. Sunday, June 11th, during the church service. There will be water games and delicious snacks. Make sure your child comes in a bathing suit or clothes that can get wet!

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD: Promiseland kids have filled the shoeboxes. We filled 47 shoeboxes this year. Shipping cost is $7 per shoebox. Please bring donations this Sunday!!! Shipping donations can be sent to class, put in the offering (make check out to WCC and in the memo put OCC or put in the donation box in the gathering area.

THE HOLIDAY DINNER AND TALENT SHOW NOVEMBER 19TH @ 5PM... The talent show is FULL. If you are coming to dinner please bring a main dish and a side dish or dessert...

Promiseland will be filling the Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes this Sunday. We are in need of toothbrushes and toothpaste (dollars stores have them in a package deal), bar soap, pens, wash clothes (Walmart) you can buy 12 for $4.00. I will post again after filling the boxes to let you know what else is needed. Also each box cost $7 to ship. There will be a OCC shoebox on the table in the gathering area to donate. Thank you to everyone that has sent supplies in already. Supplies can also be brought in Sunday. I do not take the boxes to be shipped until the week of November 14th.

Promiseland Parents, Don't forget about the Fall Festival that is coming up October 29th . There will be a chili/dessert cook, trunk or treat, games and crafts to be made for the kids. It should be a lot of fun. Sign up is in the gathering space if you are interested in helping or being a part of the cook off or trunk or treat.

Promiseland is gearing up for Operation Christmas Child on October 30th. We are collecting items for the shoeboxes now. You can drop them off at the check in window or in the classroom. The shoeboxes cost $7 to ship them and if you would like to help us ship the shoeboxes please mark your check in the memo OCC shipping. You can also donate money to help us fill the shoeboxes too. Mark your check OCC fill and Nancy/Lisa will let me know. If you have any questions please email me or call me (Linda).

Here is a list of items that you can bring to help us fill the shoeboxes: beautiful doll, a deflated soccer ball with a pump or a plush stuffed animal, hard candy
Fun Toys: cars, musical instruments, puzzles, jump ropes, etc.
School Supplies: pencils, pens, crayons, notebooks, coloring books, color pencils or markers, etc.
Non-Liquid Hygiene Items: toothbrushes, toothpaste, bar soap, washcloths, combs, hair accesories, etc.
Personal Note and photo of you and your family/group. If you include your name and address, the child may be able to write to you.
DO NOT INCLUDE: USED OR DAMAGED ITEMS: war-related items such as toy guns, knives or military figures' seeds; chocolate or food; liquids or lotions; medications or vitamins; breakable items such as snow globes or glass containers; aerosol cans.

Promiseland Fun Day

September 25th Proimiseland will have a Fun Day for all K-7th graders. Please check your children in and take them into worship until they are released for class. We will play games and have a snack too. Have your children wear summer clothes with tennis shoes. They may get wet so make sure it’s clothes that will not matter if they get wet.

Put sun screen on them as well and maybe bring a beach towel too…

This Sunday, June 12th is our Teacher/helpers Appreciation Luncheon in the Fellowship Hall after the church service.Your family is invited to come too. Thank you to all the teachers and helpers that have helped over the past year. Thank you also to your families for supporting you for the past year. We could not have done this without you!
The purpose of Promiseland is...To make each child feel loved and valued as an individual. to communicate God's truth and love and to strengthen the family, recognizing the parents' authority.

This Sunday, June 5th is our annual end of the school year water party. Please remember to put sunscreen on your kids and for them to bring a towel. Also remember to bring a change of clothes for them for the luncheon.

We are keeping an eye on the weather and will keep you posted.

PROMISE LAND END OF SCHOOL YEAR WATER PARTY:
Sundy, June 5th, during Promiseland time the 1's through 6th grade classes will have our annual end of school year water party. Parents, please put sun screen on your kids, have them wear their bathing suits and bring their beach towels. Children will check in at the check-in window and then go toothier classrooms to meet with their teachers before going outside for the water party. If you should forget to put sun screen on your children we will have some available at the church for you to use.
