🚨 Turkey and Syria Earthquake Update

Over 1,500 people have been killed and thousands more injured in the devastating earthquake that struck Turkey & Syria earlier today. This quake is one of the strongest to hit the region in over 100 years, causing millions living in surrounding countries to feel the earth shake.

Join us in praying for local search and rescue teams as they continue to rescue survivors trapped under rubble.

DISASTER RELIEF VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY

We have an opportunity for a team of 10 people to serve with Samaritans Purse in Englewood, Florida. All participants must be 18 and over. There is no cost to participate. We will leave Monday October 24 at 7am and return from Florida Saturday October 29 around 7am.

Kentucky was recently hit with devastating flooding, and our Woodstock church family is working with organizations close to the disaster to provide relief where we can. Hello Team! We hope you all have had a wonderful summer.

Our leadership team is working on a couple of projects below, so be on the lookout for more information regarding these potential deployments. We do not have any concrete dates at this time, but we wanted to let you know that there may be a couple of projects coming soon.

1. Local Debris Cleanup - a widow is in need of tree debris cleanup. This project will last a few hours and we will provide more information if our services are still needed.

2. Kentucky flooding - as most of you may know, Kentucky has been hit with devastating floods. The situation is still very dangerous and no outside volunteer teams are allowed to enter until it has been deemed safe by local, state, and federal government. We are keeping in contact with Samaritan's Purse regarding deployment availability. The project time would be at least 5 days. More concrete information will be provided if we are able to get a deployment date in the near future.

We thank you all so much for your willingness to serve and please keep those affected by the Kentucky floods in your prayers.

Note: You will need to provide a negative Covid test result within 72 hours of our departure date (3/27) -- you can obtain a free Covid lab test from participating Walgreens or CVS locations.

LoveLoud Project - This Saturday Morning (3/19) in Woodstock
◾️ If you are available this Saturday morning, a local Woodstock woman needs help around her property. No equipment needed as it will be provided, but please bring gloves and work boots if possible. More details will be provided to those who are able to serve.

Samaritan's Purse Deployment - Memphis, TN - Sunday March 27th through Thursday March 31st
◾️ We have an opportunity to serve with Samaritan's Purse from March 27th through March 31st in Memphis, TN.
◾️ No vaccinations required to serve through Samaritan's Purse. You will need to provide a negative Covid test within 72 hours of deployment date (3/27). FBCW Missions Department will provide the Lab information and funds to cover testing. More details will be provided to those who are able to serve.
◾️ We are looking for 8-10 volunteers for this project. Transportation, food, and lodging will be provided.
