There is something powerful about opening God’s Word together.

Today in Sunday School, we talked about the power of repentance. Repentance is more than feeling sorry. It is turning toward God and allowing Him to transform our hearts, minds, and lives.

We were reminded that repentance is not about shame. It is about grace. It is God’s loving invitation to leave behind what is harming us and step into the life He desires for us.

I am thankful for a group willing to ask questions, learn together, and grow deeper in faith. God is still changing lives through His Word.

“Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.” Acts 3:19

God of mercy, we come to You tonight with heavy hearts.

We lift up our community after the tragedy involving Kenwood Middle School.

We grieve the lives lost and ask You to hold their families in Your care. Surround them with comfort that sustains them in the days ahead.

We pray for those in the hospital. Bring healing, bring peace, and give strength to them and to those who love them.

We lift up every student, teacher, and neighbor carrying the weight of this. This pain reaches across our whole community.

Help us care for one another well. Give us compassion, patience, and the courage to show up for each other.

We thank You for the first responders and medical teams who have served with such care. Strengthen and guide them as they continue their work.

Hold us together, O God, and carry us through what we cannot carry on our own.

We pray this in the name of Jesus, who walks with us even here. Amen.
