The name of Jesus in the paleo-Hebrew points to the redemptive works of the cross. The name means YHWH saves. You read Hebrew right to left. The paleo-Hebrew pictures show a hand (meaning at the hand of) then a man with arms raised ( meaning look or behold ) then it shows nails (peg) and then a man again with arms raised. Then the next picture actually means destroyed, followed up by another peg or (nail) image and then an eye meaning watch. This is a lot to digest through text but when you study this out it. The name of Jesus alone means
" At the hands of Himself, a man will take nails into his arms and He will destroy the nails; just watch."
From the beginning of the Bible, all the way through to the end God is saying look at my son Jesus. He will come and destroy the enmity against you by taking it upon Himself (willingly) and He will destroy the nails (enmity) that is against you. Keep your eyes fixed on this.
Colossians 2:14-15 - having canceled the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us, which was hostile to us; and He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. 15 When He had disarmed the rulers and authorities, He made a public display of them, having triumphed over them through Him.
Keep your eyes on Jesus, He is the author and finisher of our Faith.
