Conrad N. Hilton built one of the world’s most famous hotel empires, but he wanted his wealth to continue serving others long after his death. He established the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation in 1944 and later left nearly all his fortune to it, directing the foundation to relieve human suffering and continue supporting Catholic religious sisters throughout the world.

Catholic sisters held a special place in Hilton’s life. He admired women who dedicated themselves to educating children, caring for the sick, serving the poor and bringing hope to communities affected by poverty, conflict and displacement. His will specifically directed that the largest portion of the foundation’s benefactions should support their work.

By 2025, the Hilton Foundation reported approving more than $614 million through its Catholic Sisters initiative, supporting over 300 organizations across 30 countries. That same year, it launched a $15 million fund dedicated to helping elderly religious sisters receive dignified care after lifetimes spent serving others.

Hilton’s legacy shows that worldly success can become an instrument of Christian charity when wealth is placed at the service of those who have given their lives to God and neighbour.

Women will never be allowed to be ordained. These liberal heterodox bishops need to stop with this nonsense. No, we are not taking in Muslim migrants so they can kill us in our own homes or r**e our daughters and spouse. Look at the hundreds of examples where this has already happened and most recently an attempted beheading in Northern Ireland. Islam is evil!

"Why Did the Templars Kneel Before Mary?"

Many people wouldn't expect this today—but it is part of the historical truth about the Knights Templar.

The Knights Templar were a Catholic military order. Their members lived according to a Rule approved by the Church and regarded their mission as a sacred Christian vocation.

For this reason, devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary held an important place in their spirituality. To the Templars, Mary was the perfect example of humility, faithfulness, and complete trust in God. Numerous churches, chapels, and historical records associated with the Order testify to this special Marian devotion.

Anyone who claims the legacy of the original Knights Templar should acknowledge that devotion to the Virgin Mary was an essential part of their identity. It was not a minor tradition but a central expression of their Catholic faith and spiritual life.

History does not have to fit modern expectations—but it should be presented truthfully.

In December 2025, a high-level Vatican commission voted 7 to 1 to block Catholic women from being ordained as deacons, ending what advocates describe as a 50-year campaign for even the most minimal form of female ordination in the Church. The commission, established by Pope Francis in 2020 and reporting to Pope Leo XIV, concluded that historical research and theological investigation "excludes the possibility" of admitting women to the diaconate at this time. The decision was widely condemned by women's ordination groups, who criticized the commission for not soliciting meaningful input from women throughout its deliberations.

The Women's Ordination Conference called the ruling a "deep and theologically unsound insult," while researcher Phyllis Zagano noted the commission produced no actual theological argument, only the opinion that more study is needed. A separate Vatican study group published a report in March 2026 on women's participation in Church leadership, but deliberately omitted the question of female deacons. Critics say the Vatican's strategy of repeated commissions and endless study requests amounts to institutional stalling designed to permanently block women's advancement in the Church hierarchy while maintaining the appearance of ongoing dialogue.
