What We Believe

At the heart of everything we do is our unwavering belief in the truth and authority of God’s Word. Here’s a summary of our core beliefs:

• We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God—our final standard for faith and life.
• We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
• We believe in the full dei

ty of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, bodily resurrection, ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His future return in power and glory.
• We believe that salvation is only possible through the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit, which is essential for all who are lost in sin.
• We believe in the ongoing ministry of the Holy Spirit, who lives within every believer, empowering them to live a godly and fruitful life.
• We believe in the spiritual unity of all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. To learn more about our beliefs and the larger body we are part of, we invite you to visit the website of the National Association of Free Will Baptists—our denominational affiliation. Jonathan Locklear, Assistant Pastor

Don't grow weary in your season of waiting! Just like Joseph was being prepared for his purpose, God is developing you too. Whether you're waiting for the right person, praying for a prodigal child, or trusting God in uncertainty - He knows what He's about and He won't let you down! ✨

What if you're just going through religious motions while living like the world Monday through Saturday? This message cuts deep, asking the hard questions about whether God's presence is truly essential in your life or if you're just playing dress-up on Sundays.

Hey church family! Our Free Will Baptist National Convention is coming up quickly in July. This year we are gathering in Columbus (next year Grand Rapids) to worship together, learn and deepen our faith walks, and fellowship with other FWB believers from around the country. Everyone is welcome to attend, and registration is free, but accommodations are quickly filling up! So save the dates in your calendars and we'll see you all there.

Guilt has a way of making God feel distant, even when we know all the “right” things to say.

In this episode, we dive into Psalm 26 and talk about David’s bold prayer: “Examine me.” Not because he was perfect, but because he lived openly before God. That changes everything. Prayer stops being a performance and becomes a child coming home to their Father.

We talk about:
• The difference between worldly sorrow and godly sorrow
• Why hidden sin quietly destroys joy and prayer life
• How real repentance leads to real change
• Why forgiveness doesn’t always remove consequences
• What to do when you don’t feel forgiven

This conversation is honest, practical, and full of hope for anyone who feels weighed down by guilt, shame, or failure.

You are not too far gone if God is still drawing your heart back to Him.

Listen now, subscribe, and share this with someone who may need the reminder of God’s mercy today. ❤️

What helps you move from guilt to genuine repentance?

Guilt has a way of making God feel distant, even when we know the right words to say. We sit with Psalm 26 and David’s blunt honesty, where he can pray, “Examine me,” not because he’s perfect, but because he’s living in the open with his Father. T...

Woodhaven Free Will Baptist Church: This Sunday's message focused on Peter's encounter with Jesus in John 21 after the resurrection. Although Peter returned to the familiarity of fishing, Jesus met him there, provided for his needs, and lovingly restored him. Through His conversation with Peter, Jesus showed that genuine love for Him leads to a life of purpose, courage, and service to others. The message challenged us to move beyond comfort and routine, trusting Christ's call and allowing His love to transform the way we live and care for those around us.
