When we gather for worship, prayer, study, or service, we’re reminded that we don’t walk this journey alone. Together, we strengthen one another and experience Christ’s presence in powerful ways.

John Wesley considered the gathering for reflection, prayer and learning to be a "means of grace"--vital practices we engage in every day in order to deepen our relationship with God, live out the teachings of Christ and allow the Holy Spirit to grant us renewed hope and strength in our spiritual journey.

God of wisdom and light,

when we wonder how we proceed in a world full of conflict and separation, you call us back to love. We are reminded that love is the fulfillment of the law.

Each day, may we witness your love come nearer and nearer to our communities.
May we see your light breaking through all darkness.
May we proudly witness to the life we encounter in Christ.

Our connected United Methodist Church is getting creative to keep vital programs and community service efforts functioning no matter what happens. This is what being the hands and feet of Christ looks like when we commit resources to love our neighbors as ourselves. Check it out!

Across the United States, United Methodist congregations are already serving as lifelines in their communities. But what happens when a natural or humanmade disaster strikes, and the power goes out? Or the grid fails to supply electricity? Many of these ministries are disrupted, and some even have to close their doors to those in need.

General Board of Global Ministries is introducing a new UMC Solar and Battery Pilot Program providing guidance and grants for a limited number of U.S.-based United Methodist churches.
