Given the rising number of COVID cases in our area, we need to suspend our in-person meetings again. We encourage you to continue gathering and worshiping virtually with our Mission Center, which is having Reunion-based services at 7:00 pm on Sundays. If you need help accessing the MAMC Zoom links, or have any other questions/concerns, please contact a member of the Woodbury Pastorate.

In Peace,

On Sunday, August 1st, we will be sharing in the sacrament of Communion at 9:00 AM. Emblems are prepackaged. However, they are NOT gluten-free nor sugar free. Please feel free to bring your own emblems, and they will be blessed along with the provided emblems. If you have any questions please feel free to send a message.

Hi all,
While we initially planned to begin having our in-person meetings in the evenings on Sundays, the mission center has recently announced that they are moving the online MAMC gatherings to 7:00 pm. That means we are open to meet on Sunday mornings, as we are accustomed to doing.

However, we are not able to meet in the air-conditioned spaces of the church because they are too small to allow for appropriate distancing. So in order to avoid the midday heat, we will continue planning to hold our meetings outside, and will meet at 9 am, beginning this Sunday, 7/18. We can also discuss other options if members feel like something else would better meet our needs.

As we prepare to meet together again, here are a few things to know regarding safety measures we're implementing to be in line with World Church and mission center guidelines:
If you plan to enter the building, you must wear a mask
There will be no eating or singing inside, though we can do them together outside
We will only be using the sanctuary, basement, and basement bathrooms inside the building; all other areas (including the kitchen) will remain closed for now
We will have extra masks, wipes, and hand sanitizer available at the church
We will try to minimize "common surfaces" by having individually packaged communion emblems (or you are welcome to bring your own from home) and keeping use of hymnals to a minimum
Anything we use from the church (chairs, tables, hymnals, etc.) will need to be wiped down when we're finished
You're encouraged to bring your own items from home (bread/juice for communion, chairs for sitting outside, etc.) if you wish.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to one of the pastorate members.

In Peace and with Great Anticipation!

Hi all,
We've officially been cleared to reopen the Woodbury congregation for in-person gatherings! Our first one will be this Sunday, July 11, at 7:00 pm. We hope that meeting in the evening (at least initially) will accommodate those who want to continue participating in the online mission center worships, and we plan to meet outside during the summer when possible, which will be shadier and cooler in the evening. We're meeting outside for a few reasons:

We'll have fewer restrictions around things like singing together
It will make cleaning and sanitizing easier
It will (hopefully) be cooler than meeting in the sanctuary (we have elected not to meet in smaller spaces like the Junior Church or Progress Room for distancing purposes, so we won't have access to air conditioning)
While our initial plan is to meet in the evenings, we can discuss other options together if we feel something else might better fit our worship needs as a community.

As we prepare to meet together again, here are a few things to know regarding safety measures we're implementing to be in line with World Church and mission center guidelines:

Thought you might want to know what food we are supplying to the Ronald McDonald House of Southern New Jersey this evening:

Chicken and Rice casserole
Chicken Tenders (for the kids)
Baked Mac & Cheese
Veggie Tray with dips
Buttered Broccoli
Buttered Corn
Croissants
Hawaiian Rolls
Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Frosting
Pineapple Upside Down Cake
Various Lemonades and fruit punches

We have also had enough funds donated to our effort to purchase some additional pantry items. Everything from Laundry Pods, Dish Washing Pods, Paper Towels, Mayo, Ketchup, and frankly I can't recall what other items were in the basket.

Thank you to everyone that contributed! I know that this will be a blessing to the families and I was told today that the meals supplied by loving groups are the highlight of their day.

This Saturday our congregation was scheduled to provide an evening meal to our local Ronald McDonald House of Southern New Jersey. As they are unable to currently allow volunteer groups in the house, Myla Policarpo has volunteered to prepare the meal for tomorrow night. Various members of the congregation have helped by sending in a monetary donation to purchase supplies for the meal.

Long story short; now starts all of the prep work for this meal. We truly wish we could be there in person; guess we will have to wait until later in the year.

Roses are in bloom and a serious amount of buds located outside of the church today when I stopped by to just check on things. Can’t wait for our congregation to be back together to worship ❤️.

I find that as I am preparing my Communion emblems this morning for our on-line worship service, that I am reflecting on the people of the congregation that I have so many times prepared to take communion with. I miss all of you and can't wait to have the opportunity of serving and seeing you again in the near future. May God bless you and keep you under his watchful eye.
