Monday's Bible verse for Reflection and prayer - How much is enough for humans? Will getting massive amounts of wealth, deepen your faith and relationship with God? When does material wealth become an obstacle to loving God and our neighbors as ourselves? Money and material resources in themselves are not evil but Jesus warns us not to pursue or worship them. It is a constant temptation to resist but by God's grace and Spirit we can make a conscious decision to resist it.

The congregation of Central Baptist Church of Woodbury has prayed for, discussed and voted to approve the recommendation of the church council to approve the license to preach for Deacon Susan Chang Saridakis on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at a special meeting after the worship service. We thank and praise God for the calling to serve the church in preaching the Gospel that Deacon Saridakis has responded to and our congregation for affirming it with their vote of confidence . We will have a service this coming fall to celebrate this significant moment in her ministry journey in partnership with Central Baptist Church, to the glory of God.
