Don Meyer

Don Meyer Dr. Don Meyer and his wife, Evie, have been retired since 2016 and moved to Lancaster, PA where they lived for over four years.

In 2021, they moved to Woodbury, MN to be closer to their family. He is an avid gardener, photographer, devoted husband, the father of two adult sons and the very proud grandfather of Noah, who was born in February 2003. As an author, he has written “The Distinguishing Mark of Leadership” and 15 “Think About It” books which are compilations of essays he wrote for 15 years for a local newspaper, wh

ich are all available on Amazon. His education includes a Bachelor’s degree in Theological Studies (1968) from Evangel University, formerly Central Bible College, in Springfield, Mo., a Master of Arts degree in Theological Studies (1976) from the Wheaton College Graduate School in Wheaton, Ill., a Ph.D. in Ancient Studies (1987) from the University of Minnesota and additional postgraduate studies at Jerusalem University College in Jerusalem, the Harvard University Institute for Educational Management and the Harvard University Institute for New Presidents. Dr. Meyer became the 10th president of the University of Valley Forge (1997-2016), formerly Valley Forge Christian College, and presided over the most rapid growth in the history of the institution. For more than two decades (1976-1997), Dr. Meyer served at North Central University, formerly North Central Bible College, where he taught full time in the Biblical Studies Department for three years, and for 18 years he served as Vice President for Academic Affairs. He also spent a semester as the interim Academic Dean at Continental Theological Seminary in Brussels, Belgium. As an ordained Assemblies of God minister, he began his ministry by serving as the Pastor of Franklin Assemblies of God Church in Franklin, Pa., where he served for seven years (1968-1975). Dr. Meyer has spoken at camps, retreats, seminars, workshops and churches in the United States and internationally, with extensive ministry in Western and Eastern Europe and Africa. He has also contributed a variety of articles to Christian publications and journals.
