ATTENTION HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
Join us Sunday nights at 5:30 PM for JOURNEY, a Bible study designed for high school students who want to grow deeper in their walk with Christ. Through Scripture, we’ll explore what it means to be a disciple of Jesus and what it looks like to follow Him wholeheartedly in our everyday lives.

Come ready to learn, ask questions, and grow together as we discover what it truly means to follow Jesus.

PASTOR'S PEN | September 3, 2026
Bro. Dean Anderson, Pastor

Through the years Jerusalem tended to be easy prey for any army that came marching through, because their water source was outside the city walls. All the enemy had to do was set up outside the walls, cut off access to the water, and wait. That changed during the time of King Hezekiah. In one of the great engineering feats of the ancient world, the Israelites dug down inside the city and dug down out at the water source. Then, miraculously, they completed an underground tunnel that connected the two shafts and, when it was finished, they sealed off above-ground access to the water outside the walls (II Kings 20:20). Now the entrance to the water supply was inside the city and they were no longer prey to any army in the neighborhood. Jesus says, “whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life” (John 4:14). Jesus gives you a fountain of life that springs up… where? In you. Without Jesus, our lives, our happiness, our attitudes, are dependent on people and things outside of us and are liable to be cut off at any time. But when you drink of the water He offers, your life, your strength and joy and peace, become a fountain flowing on the inside, where nothing can really touch it. Give yourself to Him, and stop worrying about who’s marching through your neighborhood.
