WHEN HELP IS NEEDED
The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me. John 5:7

Before Jesus left earth, He promised to send a helper, an advocate and a comforter because he knew exactly what humans needed and did not want man to suffer unnecessarily. But what is surprising is that many people do not know this – that such a divine help (that even surpasses what man can ever do) exists for them, let alone accessing it. Before Jesus came down to earth, this help existed, and it was this help that made the creation possible from the beginning.

As seen from the story of the lame man, without help, there is so much suffering and hardship; there is unnecessary delay and one can stay in one spot in life without fulfilling his divine purpose

If one may get something from the story of the lame man at the pool, the lesson is that when men seem not to be available and there for us, let us shift our focus away from man. Those that are waiting for rich uncles or wealthy and influential clansmen, know that the best of men is still man. Princes also do fail. (Psalm 146:3-5). According to 2 Kings 6:27, when there was so much famine in Israel to the point that people began to eat their children, when a woman cried to the king for help, even the king replied that “If the LORD does not help you, where can I find help for you? From the threshing floor or from the winepress?” It is also interesting to note that according to John 2:24-25, Jesus Christ did not commit Himself to them, because He knew all men, and had no need that anyone should testify of man, for He knew what was in man”.

For those who truly need help in this season, the recent problems in our world have shown us that we can never have to trust humans because even the most powerful of men got their weaknesses exposed to the whole world. Therefore, it is wise to trust in the Holy Spirit of God who brought the earth into existence as the Lord spoke. Moreover, it is Him that filled those who the Lord used before Jesus came, helped Jesus to fulfill his ministry and was sent to help us like He helped Jesus Christ. It is Him that can perfectly connect you to divine, and destiny help without delays. This Holy Spirit is the one that is our intercessor, advocate in Heaven and helps us here on earth. It is Him that promised to guide us into all truth, show us what the Lord has for us and show us things to come. For you who would begin to depend on Him from this moment forward, as you start depending on Him, you shall never look for help another day because before you call, He will answer and while you are speaking to Him, He will answer you! Do have a very fruitful week!

LET THE BROKEN BONE REJOICE!
Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice. Psalm 51:8

Psalm 51 is a Psalm that was born out of David’s plea of mercy from the Lord after the Lord through Nathan the Prophet had found him out for killing Uriah, Bathsheba’s husband to cover his crime of adultery and impregnating her. Having followed the Lord for a very long time, David understood the implication, the consequences, and the cost of his bad judgment. He understood that his sin was before God and therefore wanted God to
• Have mercy on him and blot out all his transgressions.
• Wash away all his iniquity and cleanse him from his sin.
• Create in him a pure or clean heart and renew a right spirit in him.
• Not to cast him away from His presence or take away the Holy Spirit from him.
• And many more

One of the profound things in his prayers to the Lord was for God to “Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice.” David felt the pain of what he did to his bones, and we know that when the bones feel the pain that we are going through, we have been broken to the core and therefore, we will be needing joy to restore us deeply and cause us to begin to function in life normally again.

Have you been hit to your core by your own misdeed? As you ask for mercy, you shall receive divine restoration that will cause your broken bone to rejoice once again. Have you been going through life’s challenges, temptations of the enemy or trials that have wounded you to your core or bones? As you ask for mercy, the Lord will restore you today and cause you to hear good news, and things that will bring you joy and gladness, and He will make your crushed or bruised bones to be joyful again from now onward!

Additional References: Psalm 51:1-12; Psalm 6:2-3

Prayer Point: Father, thank you for a new day! Lord, by your mercy, take away everything that is causing my bones to be vexed, pained, dried, crushed or broken! Lord, give me total restorations and cause me to hear good news and let joy and gladness overwhelm my life and refresh my bones now and forever, in Jesus’ Name!

TURNING ANGER TO BLESSINGS!
Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Ephesians 4:26
Control your temper, for anger labels you a fool. Ecclesiastes 7:9 (NLT)

There is a reason why the Lord allows anger to exist in humans. Anger that is rightly handled could lead to great blessings for humans. Anger has caused changes and reforms in our world, has caused turnarounds and has brought untold everlasting blessings to humanity. With anger:
• Jesus corrected the ills of the church when He whipped the money changers in the court of the temple and corrected them, And He said to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer,’ but you have made it a ‘den of thieves.’ Matthew 21:13
• Elijah challenged the prophets of Baal and demonstrated the power of God, shutting down the heavens and reopening the heavens.
• Hannah prayed and got the Lord to bless the world with the first prophet that occupied the office of a Seer through her. The birth of Samuel, the kingmaker, changed the world for good at that time.

We all get angry about some things sometimes but how one handles the situation determines if one is wise or foolish, if one is about correcting error or destruction and causing further pain and anger. In 1 Samuel 1, when Hannah was being provoked by Peninnah, though Hannah did not like her situation, she started looking for a way to vent her anger. She could have chosen the wrong way by engaging Peninnah in constant quarrels, brawls and show downs that could have done nobody in the family any good but she decided to take it to God in prayers because the issue was simple. She did not have any children. It was anger that provoked her to give it all she had and prayed that very prayer that got the priest, Eli thinking that she was drunk. God heard her and we got Samuel the Prophet. Samuel was a blessing to our world and is greatly honored till today.

We know that there are some who think that how to live life is by being angry all the time and before one knows it, they will live with anger till grey hair, in sin. Ephesians 4:26-27 says “Be angry, and do not sin.” Do not let the sun set upon your anger, neither give place to the devil.” When people hoard anger, Satan could take advantage and stop their progress, they may become too blinded to take the right action, they may begin to lose control of their visions and dreams. While wise people think about the solution to the problems that brought anger and how to rightly handle their anger, foolish people fight fellow humans without thinking about a solution, and end up hurting themselves, giving room to the devil to work through and against them. This is why Ecclesiastes 7:9 says that “anger resides in the bosom of fools”. For you who are wise, let your anger cause you to think solution, get closer to God, pray and launch you into a new class like it did with Hannah. As you rightly address the anger that you feel, everlasting blessing shall be your portion!

Prayer Point: Father, thank you for a new day! Lord, by your mercy, grant me the grace not to not be eager in my heart to be angry and not to let anger reside in my spirit! Lord, help me to handle anger correctly so that instead of sinning, it will be my steppingstone to greatness and glory like Hannah had it, in Jesus’ Name!

BETTER DAYS ARE AHEAD!
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17

For everyone who becomes a believer, the old way of life must be discarded to reflect the change in government and a new system, and at the same time a new government begins to operate in the person’s life. A new believer must change his way of thinking to be able to conform to God’s ways. There must be a mind renewal. According to Ephesians 4:22-24, we put off that which is corrupt to put on that which is righteous and holy. “That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; 23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; 24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

Do you know that it is in the renewing of our mindsets and way of thinking and doing things that we are able to inherit all that the Lord has for us. Whoever claims to be a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ and still hanging or holding to his former or old way of doing things is shortchanging his own self and cheating himself off his destiny. When the believer gets serious in doing away with the former way of life of immorality, impurity, debauchery; idolatry, witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions, and envy, drunkenness, etc , and embrace the new way of life or righteousness and holiness, his pathway will be like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day. This is how he begins to grow and go from glory to glory as he begins to fellowship with the Lord in spirit and in truth and fellowship with fellow believers.

In addition, in this way of true fellowship, growth a transformation becomes automatic, and blessings become inevitable. According to 2 Peter 1:8, if you possess these qualities (the fruit of the Holy Spirit) in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. As you know the Lord, more and more, so shall life become sweeter and sweeter, and things get better and better for you even in a perverse world until Christ comes! For you who possess these new nature, you become a new man with exceeding great and precious promises from the Lord. You are no longer an ordinary person! Do have a very glorious weekend!

Prayer Point: Father, thank you for a new day! Lord, as a partaker of your divine nature with exceeding great and precious promises, give me the grace to pursue righteousness and let my path be like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day, in Jesus’ Name!

NO LOSS, STOLEN BLESSINGS MUST BE VOMITED!
He hath swallowed down riches, and he shall vomit them up again: God shall cast them out of his belly. Job 20:15

There are many things to gain in God when one is in Christ. Apart from the changes, the growth and transformation that takes place, God looks out for His own. In 1 Samuel 17:34-35, young David told King Saul about his experience with the bear and the lion that came to steal the sheep from him. He narrated that he delivered his sheep out of the mouth of the lion and bear, and he killed them.

In the Book of Jonah, we were told that the Lord caused a big fish to swallow Jonah and vomit him on dryland after 3 days and 3 nights. Meanwhile, all along, Jonah was praying to the Lord in the belly of the large fish. After this, Jonah did not have any choice but to go to Nineveh where he refused to go initially.

In 1 Samuel Chapter 30, David’s town was raided when he and his men went out to do exploits and the Amalekites carried away the women and everyone else in it, both young and old. We were told that his men were so upset to the point that they wanted to stone him. Eventually, by divine provision, they met an Egyptian servant of one of the Amalekites who raided them and was the one who led David and his men to recover all that was stolen from them as the Lord promised him in verse 8 that He should pursue, overtake them and recover all that was stolen from them.

For every true believer or follower of Christ who has been robbed, taken advantage of, stolen from, deprived of anything whatsoever. We can see how the Lord prepared a big fish to swallow Jonah in the sea and vomited him onto dry land. David in 1 Samuel 17:34-37 discussed how he wrestled his sheep from the mouth of the bear and the lion (which means that the Lord helped him so that he did not lose the sheep). We can also see how the Lord left help for David and his men to be able to recover their family and properties. Like David’s sheep in the mouth of the bear and lion, the Lord would do whatever it takes to bring us out of the den of the lion and no matter how hopeless it seems, the Lord will go all out to rescue His own.

Job 20:14-15 lets us know that Many people it is the Lord’s good pleasure to restore everything that the devil stole from His people and even when your virtues, destiny, star, glory, riches, wealth, blessings, and anything whatsoever is like Jonah in the belly of the devil, it cannot be destroyed because the Lord (who is the Almighty) is the one in charge of your life and destiny. Nothing is too lost to recover, therefore, like the fish that swallowed Jonah, vomited him onto dryland, so shall the Lord cast out your virtues, blessings, riches, glory and whatsoever the devil swallowed from you, and you shall begin for fulfil your destiny without any interference or restraint in life!

Prayer Point: Father, thank you for a new day! Lord, by your mercy, restore to me everything, including virtues, destiny, glory, riches, blessing that the devil stole from me! Lord, cast it out of his stomach and let them be restored back to me fully, in Jesus’ Name!

THE UNLIKELY JOURNEY TO GREATNESS
“He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant” Psalm 105:17

Psalm 105:17 says, “He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant” In Genesis 37, we read about Joseph and his family and saw how Joseph incurred hatred from his own brothers because he was loved and favored by their father, Jacob. We read how when he told them his dream, they hated him the more and we saw how they wanted to kill him when he was sent by his father to check on them as they grazed the flocks near Shechem but eventually ended up selling him to the Ishmaelites who sold him to Potiphar, one of Pharaoh’s officials, the captain of his guard.

If you were Joseph and the Lord told you that you will become a great star, whose family will bow before him, you will never think that that greatness will start from you being hated, spite, hostility, death-threats, and being sold to some strangers. What anyone will think and say is that the devil wants to stop us from being great. Fortunately, such is the way that the Lord chooses to send His beloved and chosen ones on the journey to greatness. We know that for Joseph, this did not end the journey.

Fortunately, and from what seem like a most unfortunate situation, Joseph was falsely accused of r**e by Potiphar’s wife because he did not agree to yield to that temptation, and he ended up in jail from a place that he was favored and by a man who recognized that his household was favored because of Joseph’s presence and had made him in charge of everything in his house. He ended up in a prison where the kings put their prisoners and there, he spent about 13 years of his life. Are you in a similar situation and a journey that is characterized by one problem after another and a never-ending low-level situation? Does your story look like that in Amos 5:19 where a man runs from a lion, only to meet a bear, escapes to his house, rests his hand on the wall, and is bitten by a snake. Note that the vision is for an appointed time and even though it tarries, wait for it, it will surely happen. The Lord is in absolute control!

Like Joseph who ended up becoming a Prime Minister from prison, in your own long-winding journey, the Lord is building capacity, character, skills, wisdom through the prolonged journey, Note that as Joseph was made the master of Pharaoh’s household, ruler over all that the king possessed, and moreover to instruct the princes and senators as he pleased, so shall all matters of great importance be committed into your hands at end of the day. Like Joseph, you shall have gains rather than losses at the end of all that you went through, you shall rule during your enemies, occupy the throne of glory and be celebrated! Do have a very prolific week!

Prayer Point: Father, thank you for a new day! Lord by your mercy, let this long-winding painful story end now and in glory like never imagined, in Jesus’ Name!

WINNING IN THE KINGDOM
After His suffering, He presented Himself to them with many convincing proofs that He was alive. He appeared to them over a span of forty days and spoke about the kingdom of God. Acts 1:3

For those who are God’s, the Holy Spirit is the one that does the work through them, He fights for His people and gives the proof or result that He is with them. Revelations 12:11 says that we overcome by the Blood of Jesus and the Word of our testimony. The word did not tell us that we overcome by quarrels, fights and arguments. No wonder that in Acts 19:1-16, when Paul got to Ephesus and decided to go into the synagogue disputing daily, persuasively arguing for a period of 3 months, he only succeeded in helping to harden their hearts and making the people speak evil about Christianity.

According to Zechariah 4:6, it is not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD”. The difference between the argument period and the time Paul spent in the synagogue discussing with people was very clear: for two years, it was not mentioned that he put the people off and made them think that he should win over obstinate and more hardened. The result was very clear: God did extraordinary miracles through Paul, so that even handkerchiefs and aprons that had touched him were taken to the sick, and their illnesses were cured, and the evil spirits left them. Paul was admired and envied to the point that the seven sons of Sceva thought that they could do the same thing.

As we go back to Church after the Corona Virus break, let’s flow with the Holy Spirit and see Him make us envied in our community. For you who would partner with the Holy Spirit to do the Lord’s assignment, the Lord’s way, He would lift you up, give you such unbelievable results that would make you a wonder to your world like He did with Paul and make your name great! You shall indeed be called a tree of righteousness and a joy of many generations! Do have a glorious weekend!

THE HELP OF GOD
I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. Psalm 121:1

God is the help of His people especially those who cannot help themselves. Anyone that feels that he is okay and does not need the help of God may never get God’s help except he asks for it. In John 5, we saw a man who was lame for 38 years until Jesus singled him out having learned that he had been in this condition for a long time. Whether one asks or not, God can and will help anyone that He made.

The following are some of the different ways God can help His people: He can help you whether you ask or not. He can pick up the unspoken wish as Jesus did with the lame man at the Pool; He can help you as His child, His servant and His worshipper, He can single you out a group of people with similar needs and help as He did at the Pool. Jesus helped Blind Bartimaeus when He asked him for mercy and helped Hannah in 1 Samuel 1 when her prayer aligned with God’s will and program.

In Haggai Chapter 1, God arose and helped the Remnants that came back from exile since they did not understand what would please God. They had neglected rebuilding God’s House while they had built their own houses, therefore, God caused them to rebuild it through the words that He sent through Prophet Haggai. From here, He gave them huge promises which include silver and gold and greater glory. Moreover, in 2 Chronicles 26, God helped young King Uzziah to become established. Uzziah achieved a lot and even built towers in the desert, he also developed great technological and engineering skills and it was stated that he was marvelously helped by God. In this season, as you focus your attention on God in this month of June, He will help you marvelously even when you do not ask Him for anything! Even in your problems and trouble, God will be your refuge and strength and ever-present help (Psalm 46:1), God shall help you right early and without delay!

Additional References: Psalm 46:1-5; Psalm 121:1-2; 2 Chronicles 26:15;

Prayer Point: Father, thank you for a new day! Oh Lord, help me and my family marvelously, be our refuge and strength and ever-present help in trouble! Father, help us right early and without delay, in Jesus’ Name!

REJECT THE BEAST CULTURE
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Jeremiah 29:11;

Some people on planet earth think that life on earth is that of the rat race, and so there is nothing like a clean life or a clean way of doing things, therefore, they cannot believe or see that there is a God who created them and has designed them with purpose in mind let alone having their provisions far ahead of them (before they appeared on earth). To them, they must cut corners, shove their ways to achieving anything and everything in life, they take and give bribes to live or better put, survive, and oppression is not only allowed, but also their norm in life. They believe with their whole heart that that is how life ought to be.

In addition, they feel that they must achieve whatever they want at all means and at all costs no matter if thousands of people are forcefully taken off the earth for their sake. They think that life is designed to run as the survival of the fittest system and such people are those who dare the church and God. Such people need to be very careful because:
1. They do not have any place in God (who formed them for a purpose) which they do not know. Isaiah 43:21; Ephesians 2:10
2.They are stretching the mercy of God while God is waiting for them to accept the gospel message of Jesus Christ and change their ways. Psalm 103:17
3. Humans are not meant to live on earth forever, therefore, this animalistic behavior which is anti-God and satanic does not have any place with God and so will lead them straight to hell if they do not repent. John 3:16
4. All that such people have and will ever have is what they possess through their pushing and shoving in the rat race systems that they and people like them created in this world. This means that while they think that they are living large, God sees them as the most miserable of people He ever made. 1 Corinthians 15:19
5.Because they do not fear God, they will die like mere men or chickens and end up in hell fire where they will be eaten up by worms in an unquenchable fire where they gnash their teeth with Satan forever. Psalm 82:6

For you who know the Lord, and fear Him, while you fight hard to bring the will of God on earth, those pushers and shovers will be called destroyers and lawless. As you keep doing the will of God, you shall be the hand of God to establish God’s mandate on earth and nothing good will be withheld from you here and hereafter!

Prayer Point: Father, thank you for a new day and a New Month! Lord, from now henceforth, Lord, as a Kingdom builder with purpose in mind, let me be your vessel of making earth like heaven, in Jesus’ Name!

CHANGING BAD LAWS
When Mordecai perceived all that was done, Mordecai rent his clothes, and put on sackcloth with ashes, and went out into the midst of the city, and cried with a loud and a bitter cry; Esther 4:1

Since men started communal lives, bad laws and policies come up occasionally because humans are in charge. While bad laws exist, people do not have to accept them because even God who is supreme has had cause to change certain laws because humans appealed to Him. Numbers 27:1-11. (See the case of the Daughters of Zelophehad.) Even when Jesus Christ walked on the earth and had the agenda to seek and save the lost souls in Israel, in Matthew 15:21-28, God broke that ceremonial law by giving the children’s bread (healing) to the Canaanite woman whose daughter was possessed. She worshipped and would not let anything deter her until the Lord attended to her request.

Even so, all over our world, there is a protest that’s going on against injustice and racism. The Book of Esther gives us a clue as to how to change mean and wicked policies and laws. Chapter 4 started by telling us how Modecai, an elder and Esther’s uncle carried out a one-man protest. For us to experience the changes that we are demanding from the powers that be, there must be a combination of the following:

• A peaceful and insistent protest that would draw attention of people in position who can do something about the horrible laws and policies
• The ability of the people to identify the leaders that God has raised up for the moment/season
• The rise of divinely inspired and self-motivated leaders who are fearless and ready to go for the people to dialogue and negotiate with the authorities that be, no matter what it takes
• Prayers and Fasting: No matter how much protest people put up, without prayers and fasting to back up their petitions or demands, their protests would simply yield just a little bit of shift or not even make any dent. There is a need to go spiritual on things of this life because by strength shall no man prevail.

In our world today, there are many errors that must be corrected, justice that needs to be served and compensations that need to be made. As the Lord shakes up the heavens and the earth, the sea, the dry land and the nations, He would begin to grant the desires of all who desire a change for fairness and justice and more equitable laws and policies in this season. Since the expectation of the righteous shall not be cut short, for you who are in His will and demanding a change, remain assured that the Lord will answer you because He is on your side, and favor and glory are on your side as well!

Additional References: Esther 4; Haggai 2:6-7

Prayer Point: Father, thank you for a new day! Lord, as the Supreme Commander of the Universe, shake up the heavens, the earth and nations and grant us the changes in our laws and policies to reflect your glory! Thank you for the change that you are bringing to us (your people) and to our world, in Jesus’ Name!
