The rain may have postponed us earlier this weekend, but it couldn’t stop our sukkah from going up! A big thank you to everyone who came out to help build and decorate!

Now it’s time to enjoy it!

Join us tomorrow night for Shabbat services with the Bima Band, followed by a Shabbat dinner in the Sukkah at 7:30 PM. We hope to see you there! Visit our website for more information.

The Jewish Foundation makes an impact in many different ways. Our staff prioritizes hands-on community service opportunities where we can strengthen and honor the Jewish community.

Last summer, at Congregation B’nai Jacob’s Wintergreen Cemetery, we cleaned and restored gravestones, revealing names and inscriptions worn by time. We’re proud to honor the enduring legacy of this sacred space.

Next week at CBJ: Clouds of Glory with Rachel Scheinerman! 🌿

Why do we build a sukkah when the Torah tells us the Israelites lived in tents? Join Rachel Scheinerman, editor of My Jewish Learning, to explore the meaning of Sukkot and how it can deepen our connection to the season. Weather permitting, we’ll also enjoy time together in the CBJ sukkah.

As the sun sets and Yom Kippur begins, we enter a time of reflection, forgiveness, and renewal.

May this day offer space to pause, open our hearts, and move into the year ahead with compassion and intention. Wishing all who are fasting a meaningful and easy fast.

G’mar Chatimah Tovah from all of us at B’nai Jacob.
