Congregation B'nai Jacob is a vibrant Conservative synagogue in Woodbridge, Connecticut, five miles from Yale University (New Haven). Our members come from Woodbridge, Orange, New Haven, Branford, West Haven, Bethany, Ansonia, Derby, Hamden, Shelton, East Haven and other towns in the Greater New Haven community.

Join us tomorrow evening as we begin the High Holiday season together with Selichot and a screening of Groundhog Day.

The evening will begin with Havdalah at 8:00 PM, followed by the film and discussion at 8:15 PM. Dessert will be served at 10:30 PM, with the Selichot service beginning at 11:00 PM.

We look forward to sharing this meaningful evening of reflection, community, and prayer.

Summer is flying by, and the new Religious School year will be here before we know it!

Registration is still open for CBJ’s 2026–2027 Religious School, welcoming students from PreK through Grade 7 for Jewish learning, Hebrew instruction, holidays, and community connection.

New this year, families can also choose our optional Wednesday Enrichment Program for Grades K–2, with bus transportation from Beecher Road School to CBJ.

Please join us at CBJ on Wednesday, July 22, from 7:00–9:00 PM as we commemorate Tisha B’Av, the solemn day marking the destruction of the First and Second Temples in Jerusalem.

The evening will include dinner, learning, Ma’ariv, Eicha and a short song session.
