We sadly announce the recent passing of a beloved member of Wood River First. Carolyn Sue Winnett, 91, passed away on March 13, 2026.
Carolyn was the driving force behind the TWIGS program which continues today, due in part to her dedication. Services will be held at EverTrue Meramec Bluffs Chapel, Ballwin,MO. on Saturday, March 21, 2026. Interment will be in Greenup, IL.

Wood River First will be providing Ashes and prayer at the curb in front of the church, 30 N. 6th Street, at 7:00 am to 8:30 am on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 in observance of Ash Wednesday. This service is to provide ashes for anyone wishing to receive the blessing more comfortably in their vehicle.
An evening service will also be held here at Wood River at 5:00 pm for all wishing to attend.
