Join us tomorrow, the Monday after Easter, at 9:00 AM for the Divine Service.
After his resurrection, Jesus appeared to two disciples on the road to Emmaus and taught them the purpose behind his suffering, death, and resurrection.
He comes to us still in Word and Sacrament to give us the life he won through his cross and resurrection.

St. John's Sunday School sang "Rejoice, Rejoice, Believers" during communion on the last Sunday of the church year. Even more beautiful and encouraging is the way they continue to lead the singing of the next distribution hymn, "Jerusalem the Golden."

In this upcoming Sunday's Gospel: The body of a young man is carried out for burial accompanied by a crowd of people from the town of Nain. Jesus interrupts the procession, sees his mother's sorrow and has compassion. "Do not weep," he says, and by the same voice instructs the young man to rise and is returned to his mother, alive and well.
