The bait and switch of our political leaders is shameless. I am thankful Trump is president but decisions like this make me realize the swamp and bad politics are part of the world system that enjoys killing babies and destroying families and our moral foundations of a country founded on Christian values and the tenets of the Holy Bible.

Trump administration quietly restores some Planned Parenthood funding

The American Civil Liberties Union and the National Family Planning and Reproductive Health Association on Tuesday voluntarily dismissed a lawsuit against the Trump administration after it restored some funding to Planned Parenthood. The organizations in April sued the administration after federal officials in March withheld Title X family planning grants from organizations that perform abortions. Separate from the move to strip abortion groups of Medicaid funds, the administration froze Title X grants because the money may have been funding diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, the abortion providers alleged. However, Trump issued a rule to end any Title X funding of the abortion industry early in his second term. Authorities withheld more than $65.8 million in federally funded family planning grants, according to the lawsuit.
On Tuesday, the ACLU and NFPRHA said that they had decided to drop their lawsuit after the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services beginning in December released the funds. The Trump administration has not commented on the move and the HHS has not publicly confirmed that the funds were distributed.
How have pro-life advocates reacted to the move? In a social media post, Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America criticized the move to distribute Title X funds to abortion groups. The organization said abortion businesses use the taxpayer money as a slush fund and called on President Donald Trump to reinstate the funding cuts.
