We are a connected body of pastors serving God with our unique skills.

A group of leaders from the Great Lakes Conference gathered in Wisconsin at the Wonderland Camp & Conference Center in Salam, WI for a couple of days of Leadership Development this past week. Participants were from our Conference Leadership Council, Cabinet, and Board of Ministry.
This past October, the TLC (Transitional Leadership Council) and the President Pro Tem gathered to experience, and be trained in, History Makers Leadership Training from ILI (International Leadership Institute). Our President Pro Tem, Scott Pattison and Lee Bushweiler attended from teh Great Lakes Conference. Pat Miller, from the TLC, and her husband, who resided in Indiana, also attended. Conferences all over our connexion are training their leaders, who in turn will train our leaders, in this experience. A planning team was formed, and we were able to have our initial training this past week, when we trained our leaders in Module 1 of History Makers.
When you participates in the History Makers, ILI training, you will discover how the Eight Core Values will lead to the Seven Outcomes in your life and the lives of those you lead.
You will be hearing more about this training as we go forward.

Grateful to be a supporter of Kids Ranch!

The Mental Health of our children is a key concern for the entire staff.

The Kids Ranch mission is to boost children's self-esteem, teach them to respect themselves and others, as well as the environment. The staff seeks to create a caring and compassionate place for all our children.

We engage the children in stress-reducing, self-care and coping skills.
Ex: Mindful breathing
Positive self-talk
Resiliency training
Relaxation techniques

These activities teach coping skills- which help the children develop resilience while dealing with the many stressors in their lives.

Our Mental Health Coordinator evaluates each one of the children to determine their level of self-esteem and discover their beliefs and assumptions about themselves and life.

Kids Ranch also uses animal assisted therapy to boost camper's self-esteem, trust and confidence by partnering with BREATHE - Baraboo River Equine-Assisted Therapies,.

The children are treated to hiking, gardening, environmental education, and outdoor games with our staff naturalist.

Becoming a skilled reader is part of the magic Kids Ranch creates. Our education coordinator assesses and introduces students to a multi-sensory phonics technique that teaches them an alternative way to learn to read.

The Kids Ranch builds caring, confident and capable children.
