Working on the safety side of the equation today with the Franklin County Longbeards Chapter of the NWTF. We had well over 150 kids at the County park doing all sorts of outdoor activities. Thanks to Dennis Woodson and Chris Bishop for teaming up with me at the treestand safety station. Special thanks to Tree Stand Safety Awareness Foundation - TSSA for providing harnesses and literature.

This is one of my pet peaves. Every year I see a rickety ladder stand that has been in place for a long time. This is very dangerous and irresponsible well beyond hunting incidents. What if a kid decided to climb it and catastrophe struck? Take em down today.
