Do you know someone that would be willing to donate an item/s for our auction and/or General Store? Our store is open all day and offers small handmade or store bought items for sale ALL day. If you can make pickles or jam, that's a bonus. Any and every item means so much! Items can be dropped off at the church or Janet Rollins' house on Cooper. Thank you SO much for your support!

October 25th is just around the corner! We are again accepting monetary donations to help with the expenses. If you'd like to donate a few cans of beans or a case of chickens, that would be MARVELOUS!

Chicken on a Mission has a few T-shirts on hand. We have a few mediums, large and extra large. We will be placing an order for more. If you want a T-shirt please see Willard Joyner. For sizes S-XL the cost is $22 and 2X-4X is $25. Please order ASAP so we can get them in time for the BIG day!

It's time to start crafting those handmade items for the auction..... pulling out recipes for those delicious cookies and cakes needed for dessert and auction.

Don't forget to invite your neighbors and friends to participate in this awesome FUN-RAISER. As usual, the profits are designated for local missions (wheelchair ramps) and the Tyler Peaden Stroke Recovery Fund.

We are gearing up for Chicken on a Mission 2025. The date is TBD. We will be offering some special Chicken on a Mission items in our store this year. We have created a registry on Amazon for some items we want to personalize. I will share the link in a separate post (cause I probably can't figure out how to do it on this post).
If you are looking for an extra way to help out please consider purchasing from our registry. If you purchase from our registry you will receive one item from the purchase just for your generosity! We have special decals to go on the items. Thank you for prayerfully considering helping out in this way.

Fun times!!!! Remember, auction at 6:30!!!!

Wanted to get in our first THANK YOU to the guys who make this all happen! The grill masters who have to get up early to fire up those grills! Our kitchen crew, also up early cooking green beans and potatoes! The bakers that have had their ovens going in the past few days! Our prayer warriors who bathe this fun-raiser in prayer.
Our generous donators of funds and supplies - ya'll just don't know how much this means and your generosity enables us to provide more funds for our missions! Thanks to those that helped pick up the chickens and those that helped pack them in ice! Thanks to the ones who rolled cutlery, cut cakes, made tea, whipped up the delicious sauce, poured the sauce into little cups! Thanks to the line servers and runners. Thanks to the ones manning the drive-thru! Thanks to the ones who helped set up the auction, made auction items and those that will come to the auction!

And thank you to a very deserving gentleman who heads this fun-raiser up, year after year, and does SO much that we don't even know about..... (he's not gonna like this because he's such a humble servant) but we're mentioning him by name anyway..... Mr. Willard Joyner. You are such an inspiration to us all. Thank you so much for ALL you do!

As the Lord took the bread and fish and multiplied, so we ask the same if it's His will!

Thank you ALL for being the hands and feet of Jesus and for touching lives and making a difference!

Chicken On A Mission 2024
I’m not sure how many years we’ve been cookin’ up good ole grilled BBQ chicken….. not sure how many craft items have been made and auctioned…. Don’t know how many spectacular cakes and goodies have been baked over the years…. But what I DO know and can tell you is WHAT A DIFFERENCE THIS “FUN” RAISER HAS MADE IN SO MANY LIVES!!!! And it’s all contributable to YOU!
This year’s event especially brings on a new level of meaning and deeper sacrifice for all. There are SO many needs this year! Hurricane recoveries, local needs at Joy Soup Kitchen, ramps are desperately needed and the many needs for Tyler for which we are praying for and honored to help support.
Our pockets are not getting any deeper but the love and faith we hold in our hearts is certainly expanding daily. God ALWAYS provides a way. And most times that way is through God’s people being His hands and feet.
Thank you ALL for the way you support this worthy cause. Past, present and future. There is always a future with God! Please prayerfully consider how God wants to use you!
