The music at Winterville United Methodist Church is always beautiful...our musicians are very talented! But just as important is THIS music...the sound in the sanctuary BEFORE church even starts...the sound of friends visiting and enjoying being in God's house together after a week away! Next in our Behind the Scenes stories here at Winterville United Methodist Church are Johnny White and Tony Lowe. These two guys are our "fixers" who work very quietly in the background doing all the repairs that can be done without calling in the professionals. Bushes trimmed? ✔️ Toilet unclogged? ✔️ Rooms painted? ✔️ Monitoring sump pumps? ✔️ Installing and removing seasonal decorations? ✔️Changing light bulbs and seasonal outside light timers? ✔️ Unlocking the church on Sunday mornings and setting the heat/AC so everyone is comfortable when they get to worship? ✔️ Honestly, there's very little Johnny and Tony do NOT do at our church! Thank you both for everything you do to keep our church in tip-top shape! (PS: These two were really good sports about having their pictures taken 😄)

So often, we come to church on Sunday mornings, say hi to our friends, hear the sermon, and then leave without realizing how many "behind the scenes" people there are that help support the church! Get ready to meet some of those folks here at Winterville United Methodist Church!
First up, please meet father and son duo, Martin and Daniel Davis. Every Sunday you will find them in the sound booth working to make sure that our television screens in the sanctuary are correctly showing the day's Call to Worship, the current hymn, or the Apostle's Creed. Thank you, Martin and Daniel, for helping to make sure our worship services run smoothly! We appreciate all you do!

We are so blessed to have so many wonderful musicians in our church family at Winterville United Methodist Church! Our music director, Tom Bouknecht, is on a very well deserved vacation. While he's gone, Carly Lutsky, our church pianist, along with Donna Rosenberger on flute, Glyn Denham on harmonica, and Tony Lowe on dulcimer, provided us with amazing music during worship on Sunday!
