God told Jonah to get up and go, but Jonah ran. Yet even in Jonah’s rebellion, God pursued him with mercy. God heard Jonah’s cry, gave him a second chance, and used His Word to bring repentance to Nineveh.

Ultimately, Jonah points us to Jesus, the greater Jonah, who did not run from sinners but came willingly to save us.
Big Question:
Are we obeying God’s command to go and tell, or are we rebelling through silence, comfort, and fear?

This weeks message comes from 2 Kings 5. Naaman had great power and position, but he also had death sentence with the disease leprosy. God uses a teenage slave girl to tell her captor about the hope of God. She cared enough to tell. Jesus, the true and better prophet, makes the unclean, clean. Gives new life and sends us out with the gospel.

In 1 Kings 18, Elijah stands on Mount Carmel and asks Israel one of the most important questions in Scripture: “How long will you waver between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow Him.”
This message challenges us to examine our own hearts and ask: Is my worship divided?

At Mount Carmel, the fire fell on the sacrifice instead of the people. At the cross, the fire of God’s justice fell on Jesus instead of us. Jesus stood in our place, took what we deserved, rose from the grave, and now calls us to stop limping between two opinions and follow Him fully.

This Sunday, we continue The Whole Story with The Rise and Fall of the Kings from 1 Kings 12.

Rehoboam and Jeroboam show us two struggles still alive in our own hearts: pride and fear. One tried to control through power. The other tried to control through fear and compromise. Both were trying to protect their own kingdom instead of surrendering to God’s kingdom.

But 1 Kings 12 points us to a better King: Jesus Christ.
Earthly kings added burdens, but Jesus came to carry the burden of our sin. Rehoboam said, “Serve me, or I will crush you.” Jesus says, “I will be crushed to save you.”

This message is for anyone who has ever felt spiritually distracted, compromised, or pulled in two directions. A divided heart always leads to a divided life. But the good news is that where Solomon failed, Jesus succeeded. Jesus is the greater and true Solomon — perfectly faithful, perfectly wise, and fully devoted to the Father.
