Huge thanks to our neighbors at A Budget Tree Service for donating & delivering a load of mulch. No need to wait for formal garden work days…feel free to lend a hand spreading mulch whenever you can. There is cardboard to lay down & just cover with mulch. Wear gloves & simply fill a tub or small box at a time. Always remember sun protection & to hydrate. The hose now has a quick connect & release to make watering easier.

Passover parsley garden is in! Beds will be prepped and ready for the rest of the planting soon.

Cucumbers are climbing! Cherry tomatoes & okra have begun. Eggplants & butternut squash are still producing. Parsley bed is pretty sparse, but whatever is there will be joining us for Seder. We have a frog living in our compost bin. Still working on overcoming the irrigation challenge…hopefully solved very soon.

Spring garden is thriving! Some fall action still happening too. Butternut squash keeps flowering, heirloom tomatoes & eggplants still producing. The Passover parsley looks like actual parsley leaves now…less than 5 weeks left to mature! Cucumbers, Summer squashes, & okra seedlings were transplanted & we have yellow squashes!!! Carol is making use of spring onions, herbs, & lettuce for Kiddush luncheons. We are composting all the kitchen veggies scraps. All are welcome to join the garden team!
