That’s a wrap for SOUL! We had so much fun this week, on Friday we spent almost all day at Orlando Union Rescue Mission playing games and making crafts with the kids staying there. We were immediately greeted with hugs and smiles, and our students jumped right into Basketball and 4-Square! On Saturday we went downtown to Lake Eola with as many street eats bags we could carry to give out to those in need, and spoke with them, as they were willing, about their day and other things. Sunday morning we all went to Church together before heading to Aquatica for a fun day out! Thank you to all of the students who attended this week, your passion for service is what makes SOUL fun and meaningful. And of course a huge thank you to our adult leaders who took time out of their week to be with our students.

SOUL 2026 is off and running! We gathered on Wednesday afternoon and shared a Bridges of Poverty learning experience together and then Worshipped with Pastor Rachel! On Thursday morning we made over about 200 street eats bags for our Church family as well as to hand out ourselves this Saturday. Our afternoon was spent at FUMC Sanford packing bags and packing egg cartons for the Picnic Project! We spend each of our evenings during SOUL hosting Families staying on campus with Family Promise, on Thursday night our group split up and some went to The Table Florida to serve dinner to folks from all all walks of life and got to enjoy meeting new people with fun stories to tell.

Mystery Night was a success! Our activity was a Winter Park Scavenger Hunt! Our students split into groups with adult leaders and ran around the Church and Park Ave. searching high and low for answers to silly questions. Super fun!
