Interfaith Council of Central Florida

Interfaith Council of Central Florida Welcome! Join us on the rewarding journey of building a stronger and more active interfaith community in Central Florida.

The members of the Interfaith Council of Central Florida, though highly diverse, strongly agree about the power and potential of religion. We recognize that religion can be a powerful catalyst for love, liberation, enlightenment, personal growth, and social progress even though it is also sometimes used to manipulate, control, and trespass against our neighbors. Throughout history, religion has be

en associated with profound good as well as with vast evil. Groups are like individuals in that they aren’t totally good or totally bad. There are heroes and villains in every race, creed, color, and nationality. We need to cease attributing everything good to our group and everything bad to their group. The Interfaith Council seeks to create a better, more peaceful, more harmonious community by encouraging and facilitating greater interest in our region’s many faith traditions along with understanding, respect, and cooperation among them.

It is with profound sadness that we share the news of the untimely passing of Stoic Dan Lampert. StoicDan was a member of our Traditions Council, an active force for positive dialogue and cultivating respect and understanding across faith traditions, worldviews, and philosophies. His own work with Orlando Stoics and other groups stands as testimony to his dedication.
