A Prayer on the 25th Anniversary of September 11

Gracious and merciful God,
Today we remember the events of September 11, 2001, and the lives forever changed by that day. Twenty-five years later, we pause to remember those who died, those who were injured, the first responders who ran toward danger, and the families and communities who continue to carry memories of profound loss.

God of peace, comfort all who still grieve. Give strength to those who live with wounds seen and unseen. We give thanks for firefighters, police officers, paramedics, military personnel, chaplains, healthcare workers, and ordinary people who responded with extraordinary courage, compassion, and love.

As we remember, keep us from allowing fear, hatred, or division to have the final word. Teach us to be people of peace, reconciliation, mercy, and hope. Help us to see one another as neighbors and to work together for a world where violence gives way to peace and where love is stronger than hatred.

In the name of Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace, we pray. Amen.

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.” Matthew 5:9

Today we give thanks for all who work, serve, teach, build, care, and contribute to our communities. May we remember that every vocation has dignity and every worker deserves respect, fairness, and rest.

Gracious God, bless all who labor. Give workers strength, dignity, fair wages, safe workplaces, and meaningful rest. Help us use our gifts to serve our neighbors and build up your kingdom. Amen.

Wishing everyone a safe and restful Labor Day!

What a joyful Open House at Children’s Journey Preschool.

Our students and families met their teachers, explored their classrooms, and gathered with excitement for the year ahead!

We prayed over our teachers, students, and families, asking God to bless this year with joy, growth, learning, friendship, and lots of wonderful milestones.

And each child received a special star keychain as a reminder that they are wonderfully and beautifully made in God’s image and called to “let their light shine before others.” Matthew 5:16

Here’s to a blessed and joyful school year!
