O God, who in this wonderful Sacrament have left us a memorial of your Passion, grant us, we pray, so to revere the sacred mysteries of your Body and Blood that we may always experience in ourselves the fruits of your redemption. Who live and reign with God the Father in the unity of the Holy Spirit, on God, for ever and ever

After 41 years as pastor of St. Margaret Mary, Fr. Walsh shared that his retirement comes not from unhappiness, but from a belief that it is the right time, expressing deep gratitude for the support, unity, and faithfulness of the parish community that made his ministry such a blessing. He encouraged parishioners to continue supporting the Church’s mission through the Catholic Appeal, service in Haiti, and devotion to the Eucharist, while expressing confidence that Fr. Chris Dorsey will lead the parish well into the future.

Jesus makes a bold and astonishing promise: “Whoever eats this bread will live forever.” He reveals that the Eucharist is not merely a symbol, but his true Body and Blood given for the life of the world. At Corpus Christi, we celebrate this great gift of Christ’s Real Presence among us. As we receive him in Holy Communion, we are united more deeply with Jesus and strengthened to live as his disciples, carrying his love and mercy into the world.
