Teachability is the only shortcut.
Hebrews 5 describes a church that should have been teaching by now. Instead, they had grown dull of hearing and needed milk again.
Maturity takes practice. Hebrews 5:14 says the mature have their discernment trained by constant practice. A teachable heart is what keeps that practice moving. It hears the Word, receives it, and keeps saying, "Lord, teach me."
This week, open the Word expecting to be changed.
