Last week someone walked up to the lawn in front of our church removed our "Everyone is Welcome Here" sign, carried it to our front doors and set it on fire. This act of hate and attempted arson was the result of our church, simply showing through our words and actions that we love and accept everyone. Sadly, this type of hatred and violence is being normalized and emboldened by the leaders of our country.

This morning, our community will continue to proudly join together through those doors and online continuing to be inclusive and loving.

Thank you to our church community, our Winter Park Police and Fire departments, our Winter Park neighbors, our Florida Conference, United Church of Christ and United Church of Christ community for the love and support.

We will always be better with everyone together.
