Continue to support us even in the summertime..
"I'm in a relationship with my air conditioner," seems to be the current status of many of our facebook friends and family. And we can't blame you. It's hot out there. That Florida summer heat is definitely upon us!
As many of you know, The Mission has been open this entire time. Covid-19 did not and will not slow us down. Because of your donations, love and support... we've been able to not only meet the demand and increase of needs but we've been able to do it six days a week. We have faithfully served our community and don't plan to stop. We know they need us, but it has also presented its challenges. Covid-19 has caused us to do all we do from outside and the weather is getting tough on everyone.
Because of that, we've decided to adjust our hours for the months of July and August. We will still feed breakfast and lunch daily on our normal hours. We will continue to keep our pantry open Monday through Friday and groups feeding in the evening and weekends will continue to do so with no problems. The heat has been brutal and we care for those we serve but we care just as much for those serving!
In addition, we've had to stop taking in clothing and household items at this time. For the safety of all, we feel it needs to be done. We are still taking in food and hygiene donations for our pantry. We truly appreciate those of you that have gone above and beyond to keep it stocked.
Please know we love and thank God for you daily. We couldn't do what we do without you and I mean that from the bottom of my heart. Feel free to share so everyone knows. We apologize if this causes any inconvenience. We plan to be back to our normal operating hours in September. Thank you again for your donations, love and support during this time! Love ya lots - Arlene
