Journey Youth have had a great few months! From a trip to a fall festival, regular meetings with crazy games like Q-tip wars, and finally tonight‘s movie night!!! Next week the youth will perform in our Lessons and Carols service/concert at the church at 5:00 and then have their Christmas party afterwards!! so here we go! Come and see all that we’re about! Tonight was game night - open to younger siblings, and of course, we continued our discussions about how to react to fights at school, bullying and what they want to be when they grow up. After prayer request time and a wonderful dinner of hot dogs, chips, sodas and cookies provided tonight by Robert and Sharon, Gionni and Nico's parents, we played Bingo (no prizes) and of course the weekly air hockey match. After a study on the peace that Jesus gives and how we can give Him our fears (John 14:27) and much running with outdoor games, we went into the fellowship hall to do musical chairs as Timothy Eichholtz played the piano. Next week? Outdoor activity will be a waterslide, water balloons, pizza, and make your own ice cream sundae :) We will however start in the upstairs youth room during study and meal time. Bring a towel!

Yall, God is at work in this youth group! We continue to grow and even had two baptisms today. And the boys are praying .. and one of our older youth who wants to be a missionary has been sharing the gospel. Tonight's epic fun: Snow Cones! Thanks to Timothy Eichholtz and Noah, and to Judy Rutherford for sponsoring our dinner.

Took a pic out by the rainbow! We talked about the flood of Noah and God's promise not to flood the earth again. After pizza, prayer, and study, we had a rousing few games of Jenga and air hockey. One of the boys had to leave early and called to tell us about the rainbow. Tonight's pizza was provided by Ellen Underwood! Many thanks! Next week, we are going to carve and paint pumpkins and get ready for the Fall Festival on Oct. 20 and 21. Am thankful for our many volunteers who pitch in to make The Journey Youth Group a meaningful experience. Also ahead, once a month, we will have a birthday party with cake to celebrate that month's birthdays. We are having a Halloween and birthday celebration on Sunday, Oct. 30. Note, Ben's reaction when the Jenga tower came down, lol.
