Garden Grove Family,
As I reflect on our time together this past Sunday, I am incredibly thankful to God for what He is doing. I was encouraged as we shared testimonies of God’s faithfulness, celebrated new life and for the heart of repentance we shared. Time spent invested in the secret place of waiting on God is never wasted and I’m thankful for the moments we get to sow into being with Jesus together.
My burden and prayer for each of you this week is that you will experience the deep love of Jesus and joy that comes from living out repentance. Not living perfectly, but with a heart that is open to the Holy Spirit illuminating any area of sin that we would have no barriers between us and God.
As we read in Psalm 24, we desire to be a generation that experiences the blessing and righteousness of God as we seek Him with all we are. I see that echoed in our devotion in “The Secrets Of The Secret Place” chapter 9 for this week. No matter the circumstance in the natural, our sole dependency and source of life comes from our dependency on Jesus. May you taste and see of that goodness as you turn to Him above all else. As you wait on Him even in the midst of the busyness and distractions of this week.
My heart is also heavy this week for the people all over the world experiencing the effects of war and those working to bring peace and freedom. I ask you to join me in praying that God will guide the leaders of the countries involved and that they would turn to Him for truth. Our prayers go out on behalf of our brothers and sisters in Israel, those serving in our military and the innocent lives that are walking through this extremely difficult conflict.
I’m believing with you for miracles and growth beyond our wildest imagination as we continue on this journey as disciples of Jesus together. I look forward to our time around the table and in God’s word on Wednesday and our time of worship and continuing in Psalm 24 on Sunday.
Blessings,
Pastor John
