The Beginning of the Indiction (New Ecclesiastical Year)
40 Holy Virgin Martyrs of Thrace

On the 1st of September, the Church also commemorates the 40 Holy Virgin Martyrs. These 40 women were from Andrianople, Thrace, and St. Ammoun the Deacon was their teacher and spiritual guide. During the persecutions of Licinius they were seized by Baudas, the governor of the province, for refusing to sacrifice to idols, but they all remained steadfast; they boldly confessed their faith and endured horrible torture with admirable bravery and unceasing prayer.

Children’s Parea Camp Day 3 starts at 10::00 till about 3:00 pm, the last day is tomorrow. It’s been a fun filled experience full of faith, culture and camp activities! Tomorrow is sports/field day, pizza and dance party.

Parents you may bring your child/camper for the last 2 days if back from vacation.
The kids are having so much fun they don’t want to leave.
