✨ God Still Answers Prayer ✨

"I sought the LORD, and He answered me and rescued me from all my fears."— Psalm 34:4

How often do we cry out to God in desperation, receive His help, and then rush on to the next challenge without stopping to thank Him? We can be quick to forget the many ways God has shown His faithfulness.

📝 Take a few moments today to reflect on His goodness:

• What prayers has God answered recently?
• How have you seen His provision, protection, or guidance?
• Where has He been faithful in ways you didn't expect?

📖 Consider starting a **"God Still Answers Prayer" journal.** Write down specific prayers and the ways God answers them. When new difficulties come—and they will—you'll have a tangible reminder of His faithfulness.

🙌 Remembering what God has done in the past strengthens our faith for what lies ahead.

If you could truly grasp even a glimpse of God's love for you—love that reaches to the heavens—you would be convinced you're His favorite. You wouldn't be jealous of others' blessings or consumed with comparison. You'd be overwhelmed by His specific, personal, lavish affection for you. This isn't arrogance; it's the proper response to experiencing the Father's heart. When we understand His generosity, we naturally promote His kingdom.

“He remembers that we are dust.” — Psalm 103 🤍

God knows our weakness, our limits, our struggles, and instead of responding with harshness… He responds with compassion.

Sometimes the hardest thing isn’t believing God can forgive us — it’s accepting that He already has. We carry shame He already paid for. We hold ourselves to a higher standard than the grace God Himself extends to us.

But life has a way of humbling us and reminding us that we were never meant to be self-sufficient. We are needy children deeply loved by a compassionate Father. ✨

Today we honor the sacrifice, courage, and lives that will never be forgotten. We are deeply thankful for the men and women who gave their lives so that we could live in the freedom we enjoy today.
This Memorial Day, from our Mercy Hill family to yours, we also want to hold close those carrying the ache of missing someone they love. We are praying that you would feel God’s comfort, peace, and presence in a deep and personal way today.

This week we explored what it means to pray “Our Father” and discovered something amazing: God’s love for you reaches to the heavens. He remembers that we are dust, yet He invites us into His presence with compassion, not criticism.

You don’t have to hide. You don’t have to get the words perfect. Your Heavenly Father welcomes you with open arms, ready to help you carry what you cannot bear alone.
