This week we learned…
This week we talked about why it is so important to pray to God? Can we ask God to help us? God wants us to ask for help. Talking to Him in prayer helps us to be ready to serve Him wherever we go! This is why it’s so important to pray to Him every day! Acts 1:1-14, Jesus Taken Up into Heaven

Memory Verse:
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the
Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” Matthew 28:19

Questions to ask…
- Did you know that Jesus prayed too?
- Why do you think God wants us to talk to Him?
- Is there a special place that you like to go to pray on your own?

Family time:
Make this week’s lesson real:
God wants us to depend on Him and not try to do life on our own. Going to
Him in prayer is how we have a relationship with Him, tell him our wants and
needs, and to listen to His call.Ask your kid to pray in as many different places that they can today. At school, at home, in the car, at an afterschool activity, etc. Have them keep
track of all the places they prayed and report back to you! Ask: What were some things you asked God to help you with today?

This week we learned…
This week we talked about the world’s “wisdom” , which is that you are strong enough to do it all on your own. But as Jesus told his disciples, if we want to do great things for God, we have to stay connected to Jesus and rely on his strength. That’s God’s Truth. John 15:1-8, The Vine and the Branches

Memory Verse:
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6

Questions to ask…
What did Jesus say about branches and vines?
If a lane of traffic is running out or going the wrong way, what do you do?
Can you be a Christian and still not live for Jesus?

Family time:
Make this week’s lesson real:
In this lesson series we’ve been talking about knowing God’s truth to help us avoid the dangers in the “world’s wisdom.” Today we learned that it’s only by living in Jesus, rather than following the world’s wisdom, that we can have full and happy lives.

This week we learned…
This week we talked about what happened when Samson became prideful? He revealed the secret of his weakness and it led to his downfall. He forgot that his strength came from God. Our strength comes from God and we rely on Him. Judges 16:4-22, Samson and Delilah

BOOKS TO MEMORIZE:
“Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me.” John 14:21a

Questions to ask…
Where do your strengths come from?
How are our weaknesses a result of our sin or living in a fallen sinful world?
How do you think Samson felt once he was defeated?

Family time:
Make this week’s lesson real:
This week we talked about how Samson’s sin of pride led to his downfall. Another great passage to read with your kids this week is Genesis 3. Discuss these questions together. What was Adam and Eve’s sin? Who did they forget to trust? How is this like Samson?Ask your kid to share a weakness.
Ask your kid to share a strength.
God is my Strength

This week we learned…
This week we talked about Was Samson all-powerful? No, Samson had limitations even though he was strong. Everything he had was because God provided it for Him. We should always put our faith and hope in God, not people because they are not perfect. Judges 15:3-5, 14-15, and 18-19, Samson’s Vengeance

BOOKS TO MEMORIZE:
“Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me.” John 14:21a

Questions to ask…
Do you think Samson thought he didn’t need God before he began to die of thirst?
How does being in a humble place help us see our need for God?
What are some ways that you can make your relationship with God your biggest priority?

Family time:
Make this week’s lesson real:
Sometimes it takes our limitations and weaknesses to help us see our need for God. This can be very humbling. Share some of your weaknesses with your child this week and ways that you depend on God.Ask your kid to share one limitation or flaw they have.
Ask your kid to spend time praying and asking God for help this week.
