VBS Day #3 was AWESOME!

We learned that Jesus is the powerful Son of God. Everything Jesus said and did showed that He is the powerful Son of God. We presented the Gospel tonight:

God Rules, We Sinned, God Provided, Jesus Gives, We Respond (Admit, Believe, Confess). Jesus is the One that God promised would come to fix the relationship between God and people. All things are possible with God! God sent Jesus to make it possible for all people to be saved!

When the storms of life come, and they will come, will we be so rooted in Christ's love that we can stand firm?

Roots are not only invisible, but they take time. They are not produced overnight. You develop deep spiritual roots over time.

If a storm were to hit your life, where are your roots? Are they in the approval of others? Financial security? Your own strength? Your reputation? Or are they firmly established in Christ?

A great week at the Southern Baptist Convention in Orlando.

From celebrating 63 newly appointed IMB missionaries, to participating in important business of the convention, and to seeing members of our church family serving as greeters - it was encouraging to witness what God is doing through churches across the nation.
