Hey church family!

If your child attends Children’s Church, we’d love your help with our weekly memory verses. We practice the verse in class and send home a simple activity sheet to help them keep learning throughout the week. If they can say their verse the following Sunday, they get a fun little reward!

Last week’s verse was “Jesus understands every weakness of ours, because he was tempted in every way that we are. But he did not sin!” Hebrews‬ ‭4‬:‭15‬ ‭CEV‬‬

7 Ways to Stay Close to God in a Busy World (Take Note of No. 3 & 6)

Life can become so busy that our relationship with God is pushed to the background. Yet no schedule is more important than spending time with the One who gives us life. Here are seven ways to remain close to Him.

1. Make Time for God Every Day

Don't wait until you have "free time." Set aside a specific time each day for prayer and Bible reading.

> “Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near.” — Isaiah 55:6

2. Keep Talking to God Throughout the Day

Prayer is not limited to one moment. Develop the habit of speaking to God wherever you are.

3. Put God's Word Into Practice

Reading the Bible is important, but living it is what transforms your life.

Take Note of No. 3: A life changed by God's Word is the greatest proof that you believe it.

> “But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only...” — James 1:22

4. Remove Spiritual Distractions

Be intentional about reducing anything that consistently pulls your heart away from God.

5. Spend Time With Other Believers

Fellowship encourages you, strengthens your faith, and helps you remain accountable.

6. Make Worship a Lifestyle

Honor God not only with songs but with your choices, your words, and your attitude every day.

Take Note of No. 6: Worship is not just what you sing—it is how you live.

> “Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.” — 1 Corinthians 10:31

7. End Each Day With Gratitude

Before you sleep, thank God for His faithfulness and place tomorrow into His hands.

A close relationship with God is built through daily choices, not occasional moments. The more consistently you seek Him, the more you will experience His peace, wisdom, and presence.

Prayer

"Father, help me stay close to You no matter how busy life becomes. Teach me to seek You daily, obey Your Word, remove distractions, and worship You with my whole life. Draw me nearer to You every day. In Jesus' name, Amen."
