Have you ever wondered why love feels so hard? I do — again and again. In this week’s reflection I’m sitting with Matthew and Paul: forgiveness isn’t a distant idea to admire; it’s the hard, messy practice that keeps us together. What does it look like to go to someone when hurt has grown in the silence? What if steadfast love meant staying put and doing the work of reconciliation?
I want us to linger there… to name how costly it can be to speak and to listen, to risk being misunderstood, to risk being hurt again. Yet Paul insists: owe no one anything but love. Love is a discipline. Love is the way the body of Christ survives.
If you need a place to practice that — to ask hard questions, to be welcomed, to be known — come join us online or in person. We’re trying to live this out together: asking, listening, forgiving, loving. How will you practice love this week? Share below — I’d love to hear.
