Saint Benedict the Moor Catholic Church celebrated St. Monica’s Guild and Saint Monica's Feast Day, led by outgoing President Charlesetta Taylor. The celebration began with Mass on Sunday, August 23, 2026, ahead of the official feast day on August 27. Since the 1940s, the Guild has followed the example of Saint Monica, the Patron Saint of Mothers, Wives, and Widows, through ministry, community service, and activities that encourage spiritual growth. Members also fellowshipped on Saturday, August 22, enjoying a corsage-making session led by member, Arlene Glymph. The handmade corsages were proudly worn by all members during Sunday’s Mass.
