Wednesday Word, September 9, 2026 - "You Are God's Love Letter!!!"

Beloved,

When I was in college, my girlfriend, before she was my fiancée, before she was my wife, before she was the First Lady of Zion Memorial Missionary Baptist Church, First Lady Cynthia Cain, when she was Cynthia Rorie, used to write me love letters.

How those love letters would excite me when I saw the envelope and anticipated the words inside.

And, the perfume sprayed on them and the lipstick kisses helped the time to pass quicker until we would see each other again.

Beloved, those love letters laid a foundation for what has now become more than 34 years of marriage, 5 children, and countless memorable experiences.

Said another way, those love letters revealed to me what love really was, is and will always be.

Beloved, God has written love letters to the world to reveal to the world what love really was, is and will always be.

And, beloved, those love letters are you and I, the life we live, and the love we reveal to the world.

For, beloved, the Apostle Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 3:2-3, "You yourselves are our letter, written on our hearts, to be known and read by all; and you show that you are a letter of Christ, prepared by us, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts."

Beloved, how you live your life before others matters because it reveals whether the love of God is truly in your mind, in your heart, and in your spirit.

If it is, then, beloved, when people engage with you, they should experience the love of God with pleasant surprises, fragrances of a remarkable attitude of gratitude that makes the atmosphere that much more enjoyable, and uplifting engagements that are like kisses reassuring them that God loves them because of how you love them.

Beloved, my hope and my prayer is that people experience you in that way because, beloved, you are God's love letter.

Make sure you remember that you are God's love letter and remember that God loves you and I love you too!
